Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
Our entire organization uses Zoom to communicate internally for everything from sales meetings 1:1's, all-hand events and more. Since the majority of our organization works remote, Zoom is critical for collaboration and communication between individuals, teams and even great for company-wide meetings. Zoom allows us to have a strong distributed workforce but still work efficiently and effectively the with tools and capabilities it provides.
Pros
- Ease of use - You can quickly start a new meeting and invite participants via email or with a URL link. You can also easily share your screen, annotate, record, create breakout rooms and more. The app and interface are laid out perfectly and is simple to use, can be mastered very quickly.
- Integrations - Zoom integrates super easily with a number of different tools. The ability to schedule calls/meetings right from the inbox saves a ton of time from having to manage and schedule with multiple logins or send an updated email invite with meeting information pre-call. Help to eliminate errors and coordinate more easily.
- The overall suite of features and functionality is really great. Audio, video, chat, screen sharing, recording and more. There isn't really anything that is missing from Zoom and has all you could want in a collaboration and conferencing tool.
Cons
- The ability to see chat conversations when in presentation mode/fullscreen.
- Sometimes it won't recognize what audio options I have set up or will switch to one that is not the default. Might just be something with my computer setup but recognizing the in-use or default audio options is occasionally confusing but easy to fix.
- When your internet connection is unstable you will receive a message that this is the case. There could maybe be a message that provides suggestions to help this such as turning off the video component or other app cues/ suggestions so doesn't continue to delay.
- It has helped improve collaboration between teams and individuals.
- Has given the company huge costs savings by not having to meet onsite nearly as much to communicate and work together since the company is mostly remote.
- Helped on-board new employees faster and more effectively with the tools and features it offers.
N/A
Zoom is much easier to use and has a better-integrated feature set compared to UberConfernce. I feel the layout is a lot more functional and it's easier to use the record, share, mute features on the fly when in a live meeting or call than it is with UberConfernce.
