Overall Satisfaction with ZoomInfo

ZoomInfo is primarily used with the sales and marketing team to reach out to potential clients and leaders about the products and services that we as an organization have to offer. ZoomInfo is very accurate with its database and the filters that they have are amazing, helping the organization to reach out to the right people where a product can be a good fit.
  • The information is 99% accurate. Yes, it understands the job switch well, and incorporate these changes in the tool
  • They have amazing filters. It helps you to understand the database on the basis of demographics, roles, designation, etc. which really helps you to target the right set of people to get maximum visibility of your products.
  • It gives you the right nomenclature of the email address of the organization, say for ex: Surname_Name@companyname.com is the nomenclature which ZoomInfo helps you with and with the help of professional networking sites like LinkedIn you can again reach out to right person over email/calls.
  • I feel the tool is expensive. Hands down it's expensive and for startups which are already low on recourses and manpower, this additional cost becomes a challenge.
  • ZoomInfo allows 10 searches in a month, that is not enough understand the offering of the tool and determine if this is a cost-effective decision for the organization.
  • The inability to do anything apart from the database. The tool has no innovation at all, it provides only the database, but it is hands down the most accurate and detailed database available.
  • It had a positive impact. The tool is expensive, from a startup standpoint it's expensive. Especially if the startups are based out of Asia then the pricing becomes more challenging.
  • Because the database is very accurate, it takes less time to reach out to correct people, hence the overall conversion of the sales cycle reduces.
  • The tool takes care of job switches, making sure we have the latest email address and phone number which helps in reducing time to reach out to them and proposing a sales pitch for the product/service.
ZoomInfo is a little bit cheaper to alternatives available in the market. ROI wise, ZoomInfo is good, you can expect to get your investment back once you learn to utilize the power of the tool properly. The free trial and easy interface were a few of the reasons why we went ahead with ZoomInfo. As soon as it helped us to close a $30K deal, we went ahead with the premium version.
ZoomInfo works really well for startups as the database helps you to reach correct organizations and people that use your service/products. I believe it is less suitable for sectors like FMCG or in general any product which is B2C in nature. In the B2B world, especially in the technology world (tech products or SaaS based products) ZoomInfo is very well suited.
