In our case we used it in a range of varying scenarios across internal functions as well as for external clients. It is fairly well featured and suited for use across multiple use cases. Albeit we ended up not using the pay features because it was an occasional requirement for us, I think one of the areas where it would be well suited would be processes requiring online payments based on variable logic. The pricing structure ironically makes it less suited for the same scenario for users with limited requirements.

SurveyMonkey

SurveyMonkey requires knowledgeable administrators to test and safeguard the delivery of surveys and analysis of results for highest quality and utilization. Study methods and statistics are not provided in this tool; an analyst has to know the ins and outs of sampling, delivery, and results interpretation to draw the most meaning from the results.

Pros

  • Ease of constructing a form with requisite inputs
  • Customizable look and feel options based on varying requirements in our case
  • Logic based branching & validation
  • They make it easy to create surveys. Once you create a survey, if it's a format you use over and over, all you have to do is copy it, rename it and make any updates you need to.
  • They have a whole list of ways you can gather information. There are different question types and you can use skip logic so if the question doesn't apply, people can skip to the next set of questions.
  • Exporting your final data is easy and easily goes into an excel spreadsheet or PDF file. You can even filter your results now which is a recent upgrade.

Cons

  • I found no drawbacks to using 123ContactForm.
  • I have talked about the singled out filters a lot in this review, because they are so helpful to myself and my firm. This is a new mode of analysis that Survey Monkey has and I absolutely love it. I have had one issue with the filters though and i will use an example. One of our industries performed very well in our client survey and they also had about 1/5 of our responses. I was curious to see what the firm scores would look like if I took that specific industry out. I selected the industry question and selected all of my industries, except that high performing one. One of my selections was "Other" because not all of our clients fall into one of our main industries. When I clicked, Analyze, it gave me a total of three surveys, which is very clearly not correct. It should have been our total, minus the high performing industry. I emailed Customer Service, and as usual, they did get back to me in a very timely fashion, with an answer. They said that it was a glitch in the system and were working on it. This was a couple of weeks ago and it still has not been fixed. That has been my only issue/complaint!

Ease of use, Low cost for ROI, Ability to export and analyze the data, text analysis for free response questions. Our organization's use of SurveyMonkey has been extremely helpful in a variety of situations and a variety of departments. We use it both for internal (associate feedback) and external purposes (mining for consumer data outside of the business). Super helpful tool to gather hard, quantitative data as well as qualitative.

I installed 123ContactForm myself and while I had some issues installing it I was able to visit their website and the troubleshooting information they provided in their faq section. They did offer other support if a user needed additional support, but I found the information provided on their website to be more than sufficient

Alternatives Considered

I have used several contact form plugins for WordPress, they are superior to 123ContactForm in that they provide more CRM options, but in terms of ease of installation and ease of use 123ContactForm is a better option for non-development website builders, or site owners that might not be as tech-savy.
Survey Monkey is a lot more user-friendly than Qualtrics, there is less of a learning curve, especially for the older employees who may not be as familiar with programs like this. It was easier to integrate everyone into than it was to get them to understand Qualtrics, although at some points, Qualtrics offers a more sophisticated template, Survey Monkey seems to get the job done quicker
