I think Act-On would work equally well for small to large companies. If you are less confident or experienced in automation and funneling, Act-On genuinely invests in the expertise to guide and support you so you can be continually learning and developing your skills and application for the platform. You never feel you are in the deep end

  • Leadfeeder provides anonymous IP tracking to identify prospects coming to our website. It provides us with company name, related contacts found on Leadfeeder, and LinkedIn contacts related to the company visiting the site.
  • Leadfeeder provides internal workflow tools to enable a sales team to assign leads to particular users. This feature is very helpful and makes sure our entire sales team is aligned on who is responsible for each lead that comes through to our site.
  • Leadfeeder connects to Salesforce, allowing us to attribute activity specifically to a lead, contact, or account in Salesforce. The two-way connection is a great way to see what our leads and contacts in Salesforce are doing on our site.

Cons

  • As with all new entrants into the market, there are features to make it better...however there is a product request hub which is regularly monitored, for me its acceleration of these ideas into the platform.
  • Deeper integration with Google Analytics to understand traffic coming onto the site, from what channel/source and attributing this to the contact/lead and funnel reports.
  • Out-of-box data out integrations with BI solutions such Tableau and MS Power BI.
  • A full marketplace of vendors who can connect with Act-On e.g. SMMS, IP Tracking, Call Tracking.

Leadfeeder is the best anonymous visitor tracking software platform that I've ever used. Sitting as a layer on top of Google Analytics, the tool consistently provides us with accurate intelligence of what our hottest prospects are looking at while visiting our site. The Leadfeeder customer support is top notch and the company is always coming out with new updates that further improve the technology. On top of all of this, Leadfeeder integrates with Slack and our CRM, allowing me to continue to do my job without having to switch between various platforms throughout the day.

Everything is set up to be used very easily and and it is very intuitive. The menus are set up well and it's easy to find the areas that I need. Emails and landing pages are very easy to create, and they can be created quickly to help save time on campaigns and projects.

Alternatives Considered

I used Eloqua in my previous role and while it was a great tool I found it very cumbersome and difficult to work with. It's interface was old and it was actually quite a task to get many terms created, designed and aligned as I liked within that tool. Also, the costs for the platform were extremely high. Act-On was a real breath of fresh air for me. Its a much more intuitive interface, and much easier to work with. Although it may not have all of the bells and whistles that some of the bigger players have, it does a lot more than just the basics and gets them right as wel. It also has some cool little innovations of its own as well, the Act-On Anywhere tool is really interesting and valuable, not just to marketers but for sales staff as well. But overall, value for money is much greater with Act-On and that's a key concern for any business

Leadfeeder seems to be more accurate than SharpSpring's visitor tracking, specifically with the ability to blacklist ISPs and internal users based on IP ranges. Leadfeeder's connection to Salesforce and the ability to assign prospects/visitors to our internal users makes it a complete gamechanger and provides way more functionality than SharpSpring.
