Adobe Social is not well suited to any type of social publishing, reporting or listening, particularly on a large scale within a major enterprise. It can, on occasion, completely fail to do what is asked of it. Customer support is slow and representatives often don't even read the ticket properly and ask questions answered by the ticket.

  • Social Follower Growth Data: the dashboard made it easy to keep track of the upticks in our following across our numerous pages. IT cut down tabulation time from 4 hours to 15 minutes.
  • Ability to tag posts: The tagging of posts with multiple things allowed us to attribute the engagements and impressions to definitive campaigns and intitiatives.
  • Bespoke reports: Though we needed help setting them up, the bespoke reports created were very helpful in analyzing data referential to keywords.

Cons

  • The functionality is still buggy. Several features are not reliable such as posting videos to YouTube.
  • The systems is not good if you're looking to correlate posts to campaigns that are not specifically lead gen activities.

Sprinklr has been more than serviceable, and for the money, you won't get a better value. The support team is easy to reach and will work for legitimate issues quickly. The Sprinklr team is easy to work with and won't constantly hassle you to upgrade to a more expensive plan like some of their competitors.We have been very happy overall with this product.

My biggest frustration with Sprinklr was the usability. The features were usually there, but not always easy to navigate. My use of the product was primarily for analytics, so I'm biased towards the need to access social engagement metrics. Sprinklr collects a lot of this data, which is great, but accessing it was complicated and divided up into separate modules that had you looking at the data from so many different viewpoints, it was hard to remember which was best or how you got there. And because it was collecting its own data and also collecting Facebook Insights data, there was confusing overlap.

I don't recall our training in detail. I know we met in person a few times, and did some over-the-phone product walk-throughs. It may have been somewhat informal -- I don't recall having any takeaways to refer to.

Implementation

The implementation was done during our POC. We had a very mixed experience here, and have had some issues arise since based on the way the tool was implemented. An Adobe employee went ahead and made a change to our account that was unauthorized (helpful for our implementation) which caused issues in on boarding another team who needed the same change, but could not get it done without costly Adobe certification

Alternatives Considered

Originally started with Radian 6 for social listening, however, it requires way too much hands-on time for small teams. Again, a robust systems for large B2C and ecommerce sites.

We looked at a dozen and the shortlist ended with Spredfast and Sprinklr. Chose Sprinklr because they were more Enterprise ready at the time. We continue to review other SMMS's, but have seen no reason to leave Sprinklr.
