The Cisco Webex Desk Pro brings cognitive collaboration to the desk. Collaborate, co-create, and annotate on an interactive, touch-redirect, 4K display.
In terms of noise cancellation and audio quality, there are few headsets which come close to (or even surpass) cisco Headset but in terms of functionality and compatibility, cisco Headset 700 series perform much better. Cisco comes with high security and authentication features …
I've used Plantronics, Bose, and Sony noise-canceling headphones and they have all had superior noise cancellation for listening to music. However, every one of them - including the Plantronics - would amplify external sounds (e.g. Servers, children, traffic) to be louder than …
Cisco Headset 700 is well suited for professionals who do remote interaction with customers and clients on a daily basis. This device helps them provide top-notch sound quality, great noise cancellation, security and great compatibility with large set of devices. Superior noise cancellation and compatibility is important specially in an open workplace where many co-workers are speaking and the resulting noise causes lack of focus. Additionally, given its decent battery life and quick-charge feature, it can be used for over 20 hours which is a desirable. It is not very appropriate for professionals for whom, calling or remote interaction is not a very necessary part of the job. In such cases, if they use the Headset rarely and don't care too much about quality and security, there are other cheaper alternatives.
The tool is great for having a day in and day out video calls with the client in today's COVID world, where physical interaction is limited and the best suited is for having meetings with clients and showcasing them the product demonstration, at a large scale as this has smooth video interaction and makes any large scale webinar a piece of cake while using it.
In crowded environments, very clean and clear communication can be provided for both the person using the headset and the other party with the noise-canceling mechanisms.
Smart Sensor Technology (Mute When You Remove Headphones) is a nice feature in my opinion.
More importantly, it has over 15 hours of talk time. Battery life is very good.
Bluetooth connection - sometimes takes 1-2 times to connect properly.
Receiving multiple calls - sometimes when I am on Webex and receive a call, it disconnects or when I decline the call, it loses the Webex connectivity.
Disconnecting multiple devices using - when I disconnect my phone from it, it will lose connection from my laptop as well.
Noise cancellation should be default, not an option.
When I start the Desk Pro, my own picture should remain the same size as when I shut down the device.
It should be possible to use video and audio not only for Webex but also for MS Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, in order to answer an invitation via other collab tools without changing the device.
I have yet to find a use case where the 730 is not appropriate. The audio quality and active noise cancellation capabilities are excellent, and the portability puts it above many alternatives.
Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.
I have not had to use support yet as our use of Webex Desk Pro is so new, but all the questions that I have had have been answered with such promptness and clarity that it is clear Cisco has a passion about this device and about providing high quality in all that they do. Their support is top notch and you will never need to fear when reaching out to them.
I regularly try out new headsets but I tend to stick with what works best. My three top headsets are: 1) Jabra Evolve 75 - This has a boom mic [that automatically] mutes when lifted - Great feature when on regular calls! ANC works very [well.] Similar to the Cisco headset this doesn't have over-the-ear cups but the ANC works slightly better than the Cisco unit. 2) Jabra Evolve 85 - This is an over-the-ear model which has [superb] ANC. Also extremely comfortable with a well-designed desktop charger and [a] sleek boom mic that folds away into the right-hand ear cup. One thing to note with this headset compared to the Evolve 75 and Cisco is that it takes a while to get used to not being able to hear yourself when ANC is on. Once you get [past] that, you do feel like you're in a different and completely isolated space. Very little ambient noise gets in. 3) Cisco 700 series
Organisation decided to went ahead with Cisco Webex Desk Pro becase of these following key differences: 1.- Microphone: Advanced noise-canceling microphone array vs Built-in microphone with Logitech MeetUp. 2.- Speakers: Superior Sound system vs Built-in speakerphone with Logitech MeetUp. 3.- Display: 27-inch 4K touchscreen vs. No touchscreen with Logitech MeetUp. Cisco TAC support is great.
