This tool is bested used in planning out more intense set-up for events, or where you want to share with Vendors and Hotel Contacts where you would like certain items set-up in the room. I had previously used Meeting Matrix, and I appreciate the Collaboration access I can grant to vendors and contacts so they can help design the set-up based on them being the experts and knowing the space better

Miro

Miro is great for keeping teams connected. With remote and hybrid working models meaning that not everybody is located in the same place, Miro bridges the gap that geographical distance can create. It helps us facilitate workshops with its many great features, like voting, timers, sticky notes, and illustrations. We can keep workshops fun and interactive even when working remotely.

Pros

Cvent

  • User-friendly. It's easy for us to train other team members/staff/volunteers to use the front-end system for registration and event check-in.
  • Social Tables is great for creating custom room layouts and diagrams.
  • Social tables is customizable. We're able to capture specific information for attendees, and can "tag" them when additional info is needed.

Miro

  • Effective substitute for some sections of Design Thinking sessions
  • Easy-to-use UI
  • Low latency allows for great real-time collaboration by others interacting with the tool
  • Email updates when changes are made on boards you are participating in
  • Prompts when you are trying to do something but using the wrong control for it (e.g. move the screen with the left-mouse button, when it's actually the right that does so)

Cons

Cvent

  • A development that would be useful would be the ability to reorder the diagrams to a custom order in one event so that when exported as one document, they are in an order that can be customized to flow well for the meeting planner.

Miro

  • There is too much to look at on the UI especially on the miroverse tab
  • I know miro is a collaboration tool, but would be nice to have some wireframing tools on the left tool belt - meaning as an example, able to crop imported imgs and manipulate the imgs.
  • I love the free plan and would love it if the plan extended the 3 free boards to more.

Miro is very good but still too basic. It would be great to have more precision and some advanced tools. More control over the text size and objects alignment is a need for our design team. Also, the experience on the tablets is not so good. Many dead clicks and problems while trying to select objects and tools.

      Miro

There are some features that are a tiny bit clunky (having to switch between cursors to select vs. pan around the space). Also, there are inconsistencies in sizing we've found when pasting content into a board from another source which slows us down and is frustrating.

The support was exceptional, and they remained an arm's reach away for when we ran into any questions after we began using the tool. Overall, we experienced phenomenal customer service. We also had more than one web-based call where their team would walk us through examples and answer any questions we had.

Superb. very well explained videos. Really helps get the knowledge up on the product. The slides are divided into the topics of usage. I have enjoyed following and implementing all of these slides. The videos are well explained and it is easy to follow. There are tutorials that you can take yourself later. It would be nice however if more training modules were added.

Well, working product as it is now. Easy to share, easy to access, easy to give access, and easy to learn. Needs some small improvements in terms of functionality, the safety of already produced work, and ease of use as well as a backup system. Can't really complain as use is free at the current user level.

I believe my organization has evaluated Eventbrite in the past. I'm not too familiar with Eventbrite and if it is similar to Cvent Event Diagramming. Overall, Cvent Event Diagramming seems rather advanced and a unique type of software. We have had such a great experience with Cvent that we do not plan on switching anyways

Figma has a better way of displaying comments based on a user's initials and creating high-resolution images. I also enjoy the presentation mode in Figma a little better than in Miro. Otherwise, these two applications have a lot of similarities in terms of capabilities. Miro is a little easier to access by my organization and share with contractors.

      Return on Investment

      • This program allows us to be nimble in our communication with our vendors and clients.
      • This program has empowered my new staff members to solve problems discreetly and on their own, prior to bringing them to my attention. It is a key tool to our success.

      • As an positive impact, exchanging ideas have been much quicker.
      • The other favorable one is that being collaboration has been strengthened.
      • As a negative impact, not having pursuit tasks has caused to need the usage of a new program for that.
