It is the Cadillac of backup solutions and is well regarded in the industry
Networker is really heavy in terms of learning, though it also offers a lot of features and has advantages where no good network connection is available (compression, before sending the data, Rubrik globally dedups) and Networker still offfers tape support. But we decided to …

There is no comparison, Rubrik worked right out of the box and even has support for IBM DB2 databases. Patches and upgrades have been performed without any issues. Database backups are run using default settings without any noticeable impact on the databases/servers and …
Used to have Backupify for 365 backups which was utterly unreliable, it would fail to back up without any warnings/errors. Polaris has a neat dashboard that shows you if there are any problems. Backup times with Backupify were quite long as well, Polaris only takes 5-10 minutes …

At the time we became customer (in 2017), Rubrik was the only one supporting Nutanix AHV and the only one proposing SLA-style protection of objects. What we still love about Rubrik against veeam is the fact that Rubrik is coming as a full turnkey solution with storage included …
The biggest thing that Rubrik gave us over using Veeam is the secure appliances. We don't have to have another server to manage that simply runs the backup software, we have a managed appliance with a single update interface. Veeam backup and restore works just as well, but …
Vast improvement. We used UltraBac for about 15 years. This service was very outdated. It had no dashboard and would send emails about the backups that were done overnight. We would get an email that a server was partially backed up or there were errors, then we would have to …

The licensing and scalability were definite factors. We like that Rubrik can grow with buying as many or as little nodes that we need. We also like that not everything has to be stored on brick. It can be tiered off to deep and cheap cloud storage. Overall we like that it …
Rubrik is a more straightforward product to implement and manage. We mainly went with Rubrik for security reasons like ransomware protection and immutable database.

We selected Rubrik due to the greater support it has for our Hyperconverged platform, Namely, Nutanix AHV. Both the sales pitch and initial support was more rounded than Cohesity and inspired more confidence in the product, Rubrik were able to demo everything we were planning …
Selected Rubrik due to API driven, modern easy to use interface and appliances in a scale out architecture with a secure file system protecting backup data
We looked at Cohesity and it could've been a contender had we not already gotten in bed with Rubrik. They seemed to have the same answers to our old problems as Rubrik with a simple platform. While nice, they were not providing anything extra or even close to make us consider …
Rubrik crushed Avamar in a side-by-side comparison. Out of the box, Rubrik was up and running quicker, absorbing backups faster and integrating with VMware much better than Avamar. We had faults with Avamar backing up SQL servers that did not happen with Rubrik. Overall, …
Veeam was our previous backup option. The downside of Veeam compared to Rubrik is Veeam live inside the VM which is prone to hackers if they got access to VM. Rubrik has its own appliance and MFA is mandatory for Rubrik so that's the main reason we moved over to Rubrik.
Was over 5 years ago when we made the comparison but LOVED that Rubrik was a software and hardware solution with no finger pointing. Solution met all needs and was a turnkey product. Has been easy to maintain and grow over the years.
I can't knock on Druva other than that their cost was higher than Rubrik, which is why we ultimately went with Rubrik. Veeam was too complicated for a simpleton like myself, and the feature set of Rubrik was exactly what we needed.
Having all our backups under one umbrella made product management easier, with not need to manage myltip contracts.
The additional analysis of the data after the fact gave insights into our user data, without the need for an addition product, or the impact on live data sets.
