Our experience has been very good and the support we got at the start was second to none. Our hands were held for months and the amount of work they did to get us set up and troubleshoot any issues that popped up along the way as we communicated more and more nuances of our compensation plans was staggering and impressive. I truly feel like these people care about the product and their customers and while this doesn't matter, they are one of the only products I use where I genuinely would want to hang out with them outside of work. I say this because while I can only speak to how well our process went, I believe this tool would work just as well for any compensation setup from very complex to smaller and fewer complex sales contests and other things. If your data is in Salesforce and you are currently using reports from SFDC as the numbers that drive compensation that is Spiff's bread and butter and I have no doubt this is the best tool for you. If you are like us and don't use SFDC data, don't discount spiff. They have an amazing team that will make the excel upload process easy and intuitive.

  • Scaled well with our company growth.
  • Customer service is amazing! The people are the absolute best thing about SPIFF (apart from the product of course). When I do need any guidance, I reach out and everything is resolved with a detailed explanation of what happened or why something was occurring within 24 hours. They are all so knowledgeable and friendly at SPIFF>
  • Easy to edit the background formulas and try out different formulas using a rule where it doesn't impact live calculations and end-users can't see. It means we can test new items without the risk of interfering with live commissions.
  • Control what we pull from our CRM on a line by line basis.
  • Can handle complex formulas really well!!

  • Some formulas and coding are not that intuitive.
  • Sometimes Spiff is too transparent with the information that is shared on the reps' plans from a front-end perspective.
  • There are many workarounds that we code (specifically with statement cards on the front-end) that take more time.

Spiff has become an indisposable tool for our sales org. Our salespeople, management, and finance team use it on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and keep ongoing records of this ever-changing information. It is also heavily integrated into our team's cadences. Using Spiff saves us a ton of time, helps us avoid re-work and double checking, and allows us to keep our commissions as automated as possible.

It's extremely user-friendly. I am a visual learner so being able to see charts and trends is helpful but also all the detailed reporting on every aspect of my compensation has made it easy for me to get the answers to everything I need. It typically would take Sales Ops a few days to get back on questions whose answers are now easily available in my dashboard.

In all my time using Spiff, I only recall it being unoperational (outside the times when there is scheduled maintence. During those times, Spiff does a good job at communicating when their services will be offline and why). The times when I do get a small error, 9 times out a 10 a simple refresh of the browser will fix the issue.

Pages load quickly, dashboards update numerous times throughout the day, and the integrations are seamless and operate without a hitch. On occasion, commissions will be delayed in calculating corrctly by a day or so, but that is quite rare. I don't find that delay to be a huge hinderance anyways.

I needed my account to be set up and there seemed to be some technical issues with onboarding and a customer service rep made herself immediately available to liaison with our IT department to get me up and running. I did not expect them to tend to our request with such urgency.

The training was conducted by our Spiff Account Manager and they would even create recorded videos we could send to the sales team so when they log in, they would understand how to use Spiff. Account managers at Spiff are a huge reason why I like that company.

Spiff does not really integrate with ADP and I really wish it would. I think there is a lot of potential there and it could help solve any discrepancies with my check. Also having someone to go to, i.e. with ADP I can go to HR, but Can I also do that for Spiff? Or is there a Spiff rep that supports Sysdig?

We have a fairly large Enterprise sales team (200+ people and growing). Back when I first started at my organization this number was actually around 100 people. We've doubled in size since then and we have had zero problems adding these additional users.

  • For me as an end user - I notice that my commission scheme is going down.
  • As an end-user - this will allow me to communicate with the management to discuss my compensation plan.
  • It increase the transparency within the company and allow to manage my time more.
