TeamViewer

The ability to organize and group remote accessible systems where the agent has been installed coupled with the ability to create customized applications containing the remote access agents that can be white label branded is very powerful. Links can be provided to clients that do not have the agent on their devices and they can quickly and easily install it. The areas where it struggles a bit is with the newer Mac operating systems given all the security barriers Apple has installed requiring the user to perform many complicated steps in order to allow access for TeamViewer, but that is not really a TeamViewer specific problem

I've had HR professionals ask about using it for interviews. Gone are the days where we have to spend hundreds of dollars to fly candidates in or limit ourselves to phone interviews. Vidyo with it's high reliability has saved the organization thousands in travel costs with candidate recruitment. Business meetings that can often be troubling to get leaders and executive all in one room, Vidyo has functioned extraordinarily well in bringing in people from home, on the road, or the airport. Mobile capabilities are easy and fast.Quick daily calls and chats in the office are probably best suited for the free options out there as Vidyo is not a free service like others. Better yet general phone calls will suffice.

  • Whiteboard feature is super effective when we have to explain a problem or illustrate something to the user (both internal and external).
  • Ability to safely and securely connect with the customer system is a big plus. Since the product has been in existence for a really long time, this makes it easier for us to have customers use them without us having to convince them much
  • One great feature is the ability to drag and drop the files from one computer to another while helping someone solve a problem where we need one particular file, you don’t need to waste the time downloading it to his machine or emailing it over. If you have the file, you can copy it over with few clicks.

  • I didn't have to sign up, I just need to log into the "room" I was supposed to, so unlike Skype or other instruments, I didn't need to spend time and create my own account.
  • To be honest, the largest online class I've attended had 10 people in it (besides the teacher), but it was a good quality connection.
  • I enjoyed the ability to ask questions or clarifications in the chat (without having to turn on my microphone, so that the teacher could answer the question when he/she finished the thought).

  • The software lacks many tools to control the versions of documents you work with during each session, either to review them in case you have lost some information in a past version and need to recover it, or to review changes to create comparisons between one version and another one.
  • The service does not handle contacts either, so you generally have to communicate with them from another platform even though it is in TeamViewer where the maintenance will take place and you have to waste more time even if you are urgent to start the work session.
  • TeamViewer does not have a calendar tool that allows you to make notes about the dates on which maintenance will be performed, or at least to record the dates so as not to cause confusion or organizational errors once the dates are approaching and you have forgotten these dates.

  • More updates. Unless these are being implemented under the radar I don't personally see much communication around bug or network fixes.
  • As with most telehealth technology it's improving rapidly, but still not perfect. Speaking on medical provider’s behalf they still don't love some of the tools and how they feed through Vidyo - sound quality, consistency of tools, etc.
  • Only real trouble I've seen is when people attempt to call into it like a conference line. Should be utilized for video conferencing only, but improvement could be made for a fully functioning conferencing tool.

The CEO loves teamviewer and prefers it to logmein so I am sure he will request to renew it when it comes up for renewal. It has proven its worth to the CEO so he will be a lifetime fan of Teamviewer and will always want to keep his subscription active

I do not have complaints with the product. In fact, TeamViewer is used by some of our support companies (tech support, accounting, software, etc.), and it performs well. It is simply more product than we needed in our application, and more money than we can justify budgeting.

The support from the Teamviewer team has always been top notch. Any support ticket that we have submitted has been handled very quickly and with the best possible resolution. We find in most cases, contacting for a support ticket is not even necessary, as the knowledge base is more than adequate.

We have an internal tech team dedicated to setup and troubleshooting of Vidyo. This makes it very easy, because we have access to our own employees for help. Rarely have I or anyone I work with had to escalate something to Vidyo themselves, and we're lucky to have the internal administrators that run the show. Almost like Vidyo is ours and ours alone.

I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Because the user can install it from a public site there is very little barrier for users to get remote help, combined with an increase of productivity due to the lack of travel and the costs associated it has been a good value for the company.I would say this is a good option if you are using this with a small team and a lot of end users spread across a large area.

Vidyo is better than the competitors for large meetings with many participants, due to ease of use for participants - everything in-browser has a very low threshold. Due to its lack of breakout rooms, it is less suited for smaller (or internal) meetings, where you can expect everyone to install a client.

  • Given that I use TeamViewer all day, every day, the ROI is hard to calculate--but the price is incredibly reasonable for what it does. In my opinion, it paid for itself in a week.
  • The business objective behind my use of TeamViewer is simple: the ability to handle all of my day-to-day tasks as if I were sitting at my desk when I am not.

  • It did help us reach the objective of education - after a while, everyone had a chance to connect and the quality of video/audio once you're in is great. It's just getting there that isn't up to par (but hopefully would be changed in next versions).
