  • Facebook inevitably had a very little financial impact on us to just get up and running. This was great because it really let us stretch the wings of the software.
  • It was an administrative impact that ultimately was the nail in the coffin for its use. Having a central administrative user was tough and adding more without a lot of oversight was a big-time impact or our company.
  • Overall, the impact on the team was difficult to manage as many people felt as though they spend a lot of time on social media already and we were just adding more “mindless social” to their every day.

  • FB for Business's ad manager has helped us sell a few tickets to our events that we may not have sold otherwise. This has amounted to something like $1k-2k in sales over the course of a year as a direct result of FB ads, with several hundred dollars spent on the ad budget.
  • On the whole, FB's changes to business pages over the years have been a net negative for our company. We used to rely on FB as our primary platform for distributing quality free content to our followers--now we have to pay through the nose to have our posts shown to even a fraction of our audience.

  • The bugs in Facebook for Business lead to a lot of wasted time either setting up ads or pages to have them glitch out and start over, or spending time chatting with customer support to figure out problems.

  • GMV increased from $500 to $11,000 in 5 months during the use of Facebook for Business. I used the pixel tracker that Facebook For Business offers so half of these GMVs are coming from Facebook Ads generated through Facebook for Business.
  • ROI has increased from 0.7 (before using Facebook for Business) to 2.3 after using it. Most likely because our main customer source is coming from Facebook.
  • Engagement rate increased significantly. Because data is collected more easily, we can look and compare data in a shorter interval time (ex: daily instead of weekly like before) so we were able to make timely amendments or adjustments to the content to cope with customer trends.
