We were looking for a low overhead service that gave us the flexibility to experiment with new techniques and technology pipelines. A key factor was something that did not introduce too much of an unecessary overhead. This gives us ability to adapt and use our available resources to get things done as efficiently as possible while having a lower impact.

A straightforward UI and deployability. Plenty of user guides online to get hosting up and running.

Adding more resources instantly, if needed

Linode is supremely versatile and their support team is phenomenal.

We are not a Datacenter expert, but have been in hosting business for 15+ years. That way, we need vendors and partners who not just push their product, but also help us give a complete solution to our customers. That way, Linode was amazing in terms of its simple though strong products, documentation and marketplace to explore and provide solution to customers, and a strong technical support team to help at any point.

Stand Alone OS install gave greater flexibility to do what I needed to do - no limits, and allows greater scalability as things grow and contract.
The simple pricing with that scalability was important to our needs so we were not going all in without the ability to remove our selves should the need arise.

Linode's ease of use was massively important in my decision. As a one-man IT department, I don't need to waste any time or resources with proprietary solutions. Linode gives me the virtualization backend I need to deploy as many Linux boxes as serve my organization at any given time.

It offers a cheaper dedicated CPU plan for the needs of the business. It has good benchmark results also.

Cost and ease of use.

All times I've used Linode I feel I'm paying for good service, quick turnaround when issues found and solid infrastructure.

The simplicity of the price combined with the features made the biggest difference in choosing Linode.

ROI is very high with Linode

We want to work with a reliable provider in term of fast cloud servers and uptime. It is like a partnership where Linode is our infrastructure backbone that works well at all times. We always tested with the product to make our decision in term of fit and purpose for our business.

Uptime/bandwidth.

VPS ease to configure, mount drivers, change SO, scalability and others items in that time.

As a single-person shop, Price is always my primary concern. I fund the price entirely out of my own pocket.

If the product isn't usable, then it's not worth ANY price...no matter how low.

I did a lot of research before going to Linode. They always came up the best in terms of quality of service and support.

There isn't a single factor, but two: reliability of the services and price. Linode is good on both.
