At our company, we use methods to keep track of all the potential customers that we get. We get website inquiries, leads from multiple other businesses, incoming emails, walk-ins, and phone calls. We use it for our front office staff only, as our technicians in the back have their own work order system that has been implemented with our company for years now. Where we would usually just take notes on notepads, with Method we now have a completely separate work order system for potential sales. This has been a great addition to keep all our offices in the loop. We've been able to follow up on potential sales together instead of having to take time out to figure out who talked to who and what it was about.
  • Keeps track of all interactions between any staff member and a lead
  • is customizable to many different needs
  • Customer Service is extremely responsive and easy to contact internally through Method
  • I believe there is room for improvement with scaling down on the customizing (sometimes having too much isn't always a good thing)
  • The estimate creator in Method is not as fluid as making an estimate in QB. (moving lines around, adding lines, etc.)
The cost of this product for what you get is an incredible deal. Once you focus on what you really want your Method to be, it is a great tool to have for any company that is looking to keep track of potential sales. Our front office has been amazed at how easy it was to integrate into our daily routine - sometimes change is hard, but with a couple of meetings and putting our heads together for what it was that we specifically wanted, We are loving it.
OH! And since our company uses Google Calendar for our scheduling system this has been a literal LIFE CHANGER.

  • We can keep track of potential sales as a team
  • Its a learning curve and take a bit of time to fine tune to our needs
We chose Method over Salesforce because we felt as though they were not tailored to our size of the company and our specific needs overall. They offered many things that we found very appealing but at the end of the day, we knew that with most importantly we needed a CRM to integrate with our accounting software more than anything else.
It's been a couple of months now and we're getting our Method interface fine-tuned and it is suiting our needs very well. We've found that there are multiple ways you can use this program but as long as you keep your team on the same page and make sure that everyone is using the same process- everything is fluid.
The Customer Support of this app is fantastic. If you ever have any questions they are there to answer you or fix whatever issue that you are having. The FAQ pages are also extremely helpful when you want to learn about the more in-depth qualities this program has to offer.

We use Method:CRM for payments, leads, and CRM management. It addresses our business problems of crossover between sales reps as well as not having our calendar handy. The way it syncs to Google Calendar is very convenient. I also enjoy being able to access the payments portion and how well it syncs with our QuickBooks.
  • Syncing with QuickBooks.
  • Syncing with Google Calendar.
  • Managing a calendar and being able to drag and drop appointments.
  • Easier way to enter leads and customers.
  • Not so many screens to jump from in order to complete a lead entry and create an activity.
  • Simplify the customization so that it is more user friendly.
Method:CRM syncs to QuickBooks and does a great job at that. The only thing I'd recommend is making the calendar and creation of leads/customers a bit easier so that it's not so time consuming. The calendar could use an "all day" feature where you wouldn't have to enter a time as well.

  • Quicker sales workflow
  • Organized sales force
  • Better calendar organization for managers
We chose Method:CRM for the QuickBooks integration. It was important for us to have integrations that allowed us to view payments, organize our contacts, and manage our sales force. There were some learning curves, however, such as creating activities, leads, customers and making sure our payments were being logged appropriately. I do wish that payments would be added to the calendar automatically so that the sales rep could view and make a phone call letting them know their invoice is due.
I believe there is room for improvements:
  1. Sync payments with the calendar so that reminders are automatically sent out
  2. Make the lead creation and entry a bit more user friendly and drag-and-drop
  3. Combine both activity and lead creation so it's less time consuming.
The support is great. They are on the line within minutes and share screen to figure out the problem immediately. I would highly recommend this product for that reason. I do wish the customization was a bit easier to use; however, with fewer settings that are available to the end user and an easier way to read the customization.

We use Method as the CRM for our sales team. It ties to our accountings QuickBooks. It helps us keep track of our customers, communication, and email campaigns.
  • Shows all information, actives, opportunities and invoices all in one easy location.
  • They make it very easy to create follow-up activity.
  • Quick and easy customer care chat feature.
  • Email campaign feature is simple and easy to use.
  • Would like the ability to build more reports.
  • IT would be helpful to be able to categorize items. We use it for our inventory and would help if we could group things together.
This is such a great tool for our small growing company. It's user friendly and easy to learn. It's great for keeping track and pushing you forward with customer communications.

  • We've been able to follow up on opportunities that may have been created a while back and never got touched in the old system.
Method is by far the easiest of all platforms. It brings a lot of great features that Salesforce has as well as email campaign features like constant contact, all in one. The only thing I would add would be more reporting and custom report capability.
Very user friendly. I taught myself.
Support has always been quick and helpful.

Method CRM is ideal for companies that need to integrate their customer-facing employees with their back office and who have a challenge not met by other QuickBooks add-ons. Method is the most customizable CRM software and has the best interface with QuickBooks. With Method you can automate business processes and track unlimited amounts of information.
  • Method allows you to enter data in QuickBooks from a web-based or mobile platform, with highly specific user permissions, which means your field employees have access to only the data they need without being in your QuickBooks file
  • Method allows unlimited additional data fields, screen customizations, and extremely sophisticated automation of business processes, all of which allows you to design your own features
  • With its API and SQL scripting, Method can pull data from outside sources and combine it with your QuickBooks information to provide processes unique to your business
  • Even though Method has a suite of CRM and accounting features built in, because it is so completely customizable, businesses can get sucked in to extensive and expensive implementation projects. Method is best used when there is a unique challenge to solve, or when automation will produce cost-savings sufficient to outweigh the investment in customization.
  • Method is browser-based on mobile devices, it doesn't run without an internet connection.
  • Method's look and feel is database-centric unless screens are customized, however there is a new version of Method coming out in 2014 to address this.
Method's subscription charges are quite low compared to some of the other CRM software, so if you are capable of doing customization yourself, this can be quite a bargain. There are some custom application packages already developed (for instance for field services or bookkeeping services) so if there is an app that fits your needs, that may be a great fit. Alternatively, you can tap one of the Method Solution Providers to discuss a unique customization for your business. Method CRM is also capable of linking to multiple QuickBooks files, making it ideal for franchises or other multi-entity businesses like property management or other related companies.
  • One of the best features of any CRM is the ability to generate new sales from existing relationships by automating follow-up activities and campaigns. Method does this very well.
  • Method can be customized to automatically allocate amounts according to complex formulas, savings tremendous amounts of time in the back office and eliminating tons of paperwork. Some clients have been able to forgo hiring additional employees when Method is implemented.
I love the infinite customization available in Method CRM. No other CRM offers as much ROI and flexibility of design of the user interface. However Method's built-in feature set doesn't include many of the extras that might be found in a more niche product. Furthermore, while Method's deep integration with QuickBooks is a strength, it is also a limitation because so much customization may be necessary to add features that go beyond the accounting & CRM-centric buildout of Mehtod.
The things Method does well - QuickBooks data integration and extreme customization - it does very, very well. If you are looking for a CRM product or any business process automation software that integrates with QuickBooks, you have to look at Method CRM.
