Since we are more of a cloud-based organization, the scope for us is ver limited to using VMware or HyperV. We have moved away from Citrix a long ago so that we will be free from any dependency on platforms like them

Supporting Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi and many different hyper-converged infrastructures are very important because customers want to use their existing and familiar systems here and not have to implement additional products. The connections to the various cloud hostings are also directly included and covered in the license.

We host our Parallels RAS on VMWare, along with our RDS boxes. In our viewpoint, there are very few applications that would support this as we are using Windows Server on our VMWare platform, and do not have anything running directly at the ESXi level. So the application works as expected in our environment.

We are a hyper-v shop, but I really can't imagine that it would function any differently on VMware. If there is some hyper-v specific feature set to RAS I am not aware of it, but certainly haven't noticed any configuration that was needed to be done in consideration of how our infrastructure is to get the RAS server working.

This specific feature was not important to us. We are "cloud-first" in all our application/service offerings to our users. We had hoped Parallels to support all the major public cloud providers equally, but they do not. It was a reason we chose to not continue with Parallels Remote Application Server.

RAS allows us to create and run Virtual Machines. Each virtual machine acts like a complete computer, running an operating system and programs. We are using AppsAnyWhere (software2) with Parallels RAS to access Applications and Desktops.

We only really use Hyper V for this and windows virtual servers within our company ranging from 2012 R2 to 2022. But it is important that it works across the board. But also knowing that if we were to undertake new ventures and other technologies, it would work with all of the common ones.

Parallels Remote Application Server is an easy-to-implement Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Users have access to applications, virtual machines, and virtual desktops from all major hypervisors on any device anywhere there is an internet connection. It is simple to manage and allows for the provisioning of published applications or virtual desktops to end-users.

Our RAS deployment is virtualized on Hyper-V and works seamlessly alongside it. We've installed Parallels on 2012 thru 2019 with no issues whatsoever.

The license is tied to the MAC address, so make sure you give your VMs static MACs!

We are using Microsoft Hyper-B and VMWare. Parallels Remote Application Server has seamless integrations with them, and we are able to work without facing any issues.

The support of multiple hypervisors is a great feature that allows business to run or migrate to Parallels [Remote Application Server] not not have to reinvest in their hypervisor infrastructure if that already have one. If a hypervisor infrastructure does not exist, this flexibility allows even the smallest of deployments to be run a cost savings on platforms such as Hyper-V.
