Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We are currently are using AuthPoint to protect our WatchGuard VPN, we use it for all department and for a group of companies, It currently addresses a area of cyber security which is protecting remote access into the site. It also works with Office 365 and RD Web applications which we are investigating.

  • Granular Group selection for Office 365 is not supported turns on for the whole site.
  • Auto update of gateway to latest version.
  • Set up guides a little easier to follow.
  • Protect our business with MFA.
  • Relatively price.
  • Range of services it works with.
WatchGuard AuthPoint is an all round product and it works well with our cyber security stack, we went full WatchGuard for our cyber security remit. When we reviewed the others we struggled to get them working whether it was our side or the product but even the vendors product team struggled to get it to work, where as the AuthPoint Engineers got it working with in a couple of hours.
Our business had moved towards a hybrid way of working, we have both equipment on premise and in the cloud, we have got use to using SaaS and AuthPoint pretty much fit this area. The all round simplicity of AuthPoint is amazing, the portal is so easy to manage the WatchGuard portfolio. It has saved us as an IT team a lot of time with the automated reports we know what is going on without checking it ourselves.
Our user base is a little less technical so this was still a sticking point for us but the more technical users found the enrollment in to AuthPoint easy, we had a lot of communication attached to why people needed to do it. The app is so easy to use, scanning a QR code to enroll and having a button of either approve or decline there is nothing complicated about it.
We currently don't use this functionality but we are investigating the use of this. But I would see this being an amazing tool for our business if it works with all our business applications the single sign on capability will help streamline work loads and user experiences. Users would love this function.

AuthPoint works very well with the WatchGuard Fireboxes and there forms of Virtual Private Networks that it supports. I would recommend using it for most types of VPN and even from other vendors. I would recommend it for its easy of use and administration, it is one of them products that you can set up and leave to run in the background.
