Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP Workforce Now is being used by our entire organization. It provides timesheet services, PTO/Sick Time tracking, payroll management, ACA reporting, org chart creation, and is a management tool to view details about direct reports. We also use it as an employee portal which houses handbooks, expense reporting forms, benefit portal access, upcoming event information, and calendar data. It's a space for us to house all data which may be useful to staff. Eventually, we plan on moving some of that information to a SharePoint site, but we aren't there yet.
  • Timesheet services are, although onerous to administrate, simple for staff to navigate and complete.
  • The reporting section of ADP workforce now has been greatly improved over the past few years. It's now able to provide some information in real-time, and it's now easier to navigate and edit reports.
  • Managers are able to view employee historical information, which is very helpful. They can view titles and pay history automatically.
  • Customer Service is not ideal. Whether you receive a knowledgeable service agent or a new staff member who barely knows the difference between WFN versions is luck of the draw. Sometimes you receive someone who knows how to fix a social security number error in two clicks, and sometimes you receive someone who tells you that you'll need to terminate the employee and re-create the account.
  • Closer integration between Time & Attendance and the rest of the system would be very helpful. When someone takes time off, the rest of the system won't process/update until payroll has been processed - only then would that time off show up in the Time Off section of ADP. While we understand it as admins, management/employees are constantly confused as to why their balances are incorrect.
  • The user experience, although improved in the past few years, is not ideal. Every single action requires at least 4 clicks to accomplish. It's difficult to do anything quickly in the system. Even updating the main employee page is time-consuming. It takes several clicks/tabs to edit the body of text you want to change, then you have to click "save" on two different pages. Awkward.
  • We've had ADP for so long, I'm not able to respond to this question. It accomplishes what we need to do. If it didn't, we would need to change vendors.
Our HR team has saved time, but I'm not sure how much. - We've had WFN for so long, I'm not sure how well I can speak to this. Obviously, if we had to do everything by hand, it would be impossible. If we had to use different systems for each purpose, we would struggle with integration, and employees/management would find the multitude of HR-associated sites confusing.
We have not evaluated or used other similar products.
The larger the group, the more it may make sense to use ADP WFN. Obviously, it's one of the biggest players in the industry so you can be sure that you're mostly compliant with regulations - though constant oversight is always necessary with any system. If you have a lot of non-exempt staff, then the timecard system is simple for employees to work with, and easy to pull into payroll.
