Overall Satisfaction with Appian

In general the support is responsive, friendly and helpful, but it couldn't solve all the issues in time.
Appian is used to support many business workflows across multiple departments. It addresses such business problems as transponder lease, fastener request, balance transfer, etc.
  • Workflow design is easy and very intuitive.
  • Workflow monitoring view is also very powerful for troubleshooting.
  • UI is quite user-friendly.
  • The deployment process is quite cumbersome.
  • It doesn't support source code versioning/branching which is vital for parallel development.
  • There's no drag-and-drop UI design tool.
  • Appian has improved the UI of our BPM system, and made the training easier.
  • Some workflows have been optimized use Appian which has improved the efficiency a lot.
  • Appian has created quite a big workload in terms of version upgrading because we are not using Cloud version.
The strong area for Appian is exclusively used for process orchestration, and leaving any business logic or code outside. The weak area is that it's hard to implement complex business logic inside Appian, and also very slow to execute this logic.
