Overall Satisfaction with Authorize.Net
We use Authorize.Net in some of the eCommerce platforms we manage. Since we work with Magento, it's natively integrated with the system, saving us a lot of headaches in the integration process of a payment gateway (which is never easy). Its main purpose is, of course, to be the payment gateway for credit card online transactions.
- Very good integration in Magento
- International circuit (can accept credit card from different countries)
- Quick capture process compared to other gateways
- Their admin website could use a revamp
- Recurring payments are difficult to setup
- Fees are not the best in the market, but not the worst
- Out of the box integrations
- Fast payments
- Customizable reports and emails
- Integration costs from a technical point of view, if used in the right platform, are next to zero.
- One of our customers needed a POS solution, so we proposed the same solution he had on his eCommerce, bringing us a new deal.
- It's reliable, so you don't need to invest on maintenance.
If you need a fast, reliable integration, Authorize.Net is the perfect starting solution because it has everything you need to start your business. As you grow, however, or if the kind of product you are selling requires specific payments solution (like recurring payments to say one), you should be considering a more advanced solution.
