  • Query to run lists is very limited (e.g., you cannot ask to include salutations on list output in NXT, we always have to revert to the old clunky system).
  • Search function doesn't help if entry input is not exact. No intuition or offering of alternatives.
  • Data input is much too complicated, and so we are not utilizing much of the functionality offered.
  • Support is dismal to nonexistent. The only time we get any response or more information is when Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is trying to sell us something yet again. It's constant. No concern for supporting existing issues.

  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT may have indirectly helped increase fundraising dollars by providing relevant donor information, however, I would not attribute the increase in fundraising and donors to Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. We view it as a necessary evil.
  • It is difficult to say that we have had a positive ROI with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. The operating fees are exorbitant, particularly since there is no productive customer support. We have invested much too much money and time in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to result in a positive ROI.

Very robust database, which makes donor communications, cultivation, and relationships easy to manage. However it is a beast! Much of the support and updates are focused on your very large users. There has been no attention to some of the functionality requested from others. I believe Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is more intent on adding upgrades, selling new modules than working to make the simple things better. We are very disappointed in the lack of support with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. We were sold on moving to Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT when told that support for the older version was going away. It appears that support for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is what's going away!

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Support

The only time we get any assistance is when Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is trying to sell us something that we don't need. Additionally, whenever we call for assistance we are passed to another agent, and another agent, only to be told "That's a good question, you'll need to talk to blah blah blah."

No. Why should we when we can't even get basic support? We assumed necessary support would be included in the astronomically high fees.
