Overall Satisfaction with Cornerstone OnDemand

CSOD OnDemand is deployed across 95% of the company, being used as our main LMS tool. The majority of us are using it to follow the mandatory trainings but there is also an important percentage of users employing the extended solution (meaning all LO types with the ILTss). It is mainly for compliance purposes to follow mandatory and regulatory trainings.
  • Platform's stability.
  • Product Academy and Certification program.
  • Prestige and culture - CSOD is known in the LMS industry and when deploying the system, the client has already a background about the provider.
  • The variety of functions CSOD offers and product portfolio.
  • 'Suggestion City' section offers clients a way to promote tool or process improvements.
  • GPS and support
  • Prioritizing on some features to be released
  • Security roles structure
  • It helps us reach local HR and compliance objectives and needs. But, I don't have much visibility on this item as these metrics are calculated at a different level.
  • Access to the LMS outside the working premises (via the Mobile LearnApp)
  • Use CSOD as the main LMS and centralize the training activity - linkage with Coursera, perioding uploads from other external training platforms
we use just one module - LMS
I think playlists and curricula is a good example to bundle and create training programs, one is in Push and in Pull mode.
the decision to select cornerstone for the LMS product was taken way before I arrived in the company
It really depends on the area we look into, for example:

/for security role creation and permission database, it is too complex and extensive. We have a hard time to review and maintain the security roles and the constraints linked to them;
/for Groups it is very rigid, limited criteria, old interface, not being able to copy from one segment criteria to another or when you want to edit a criteria, the previous selections are removed, etc
/ for LearnerPage and banners, it's a fixed number of banners you can't change. / For mobile the admin does not have advanced access to customize the app.

Do you think Cornerstone OnDemand delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cornerstone OnDemand's feature set?

Yes

Did Cornerstone OnDemand live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cornerstone OnDemand go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cornerstone OnDemand again?

Yes

The product academy and the certifications are well designed and well promoted. In terms of documentation, online help, and the user community, it is very well structured and information easy to find. We wish to have more flexibility and get more non-billable resolutions regarding the cases we send to the Global Product Support (GPS) team.

  • Product Usability
it was a business decision so product features had an important weight when this decision was taken many years back.
not applicable as I was not involved in taking this decision
as we use it mainly for the Regulatory training consumption it does satisfy this business need for our corporation.
The Learning assignment tool is easy to use to push the trainings, setting up a due date and with the reports the progress and be checked and follow-up if needed.

Escalation required

Yes - Yes, in majority of the cases the bugs we identify are already known by the CSOD engineers and they are even documenting it in the known issue area an then as knowledge articles.
It is mostly related to our complex part on Inbound and outbound feeds, custom scripts and projects we have and the maintenance part.
Some time back we have asked for a periodic review of these technical parameters and we have received what we have asked, now it's something we perform with CSOD every quarter.
