Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We are a system of community colleges in Louisiana that use Cvent Event Management to register faculty, staff, students, and sponsors/vendors for events throughout the year. We offer in-person and virtual events via Cvent. The system greatly helps our small staff manage registrations, provide event information (such as agenda, speakers, award info, etc.) to attendees, and identify sponsorship opportunities.

Pros

Cons

  • Some features are time consuming, i.e. too many clicks.
  • Takes a lot of time to learn the layout.
  • Things are changing often (usually for the better) but you really need to take time to relearn where things are located.

Having
worked with Cvent extensively over the years, I can confidently say it has been
a reliable and robust platform. The customer service team stands out for their
responsiveness, and my overall experience has been consistently positive.
It has been several years since our organization used DoubleDutch. However, the main reason we switched was because Cvent's package was more desirable in that it offered an online registration system, attendee engagement, feedback survey, and event marketing. Since working with Cvent, the platform offerings have expanded to include the speaker resource center and the ability to offer virtual events which is very attractive to us.

Cvent Event Management is well suited for a large event where you are collecting fees. It would also be suited for an event with multiple sessions, for example a conference, convention, or trade show. It is less appropriate for a seminar type setting. The Exhibitor Management Portal is a huge plus when working with exhibitors and sponsors.

Using Cvent Event Management

4 - The offices in my organization where Cvent Event Management is used is the Offices of Professional Development, Communications and Public Relations, Social Media Relations, Institutional Advancement and Board Services. These offices coordinate events for the state's community college faculty and staff, and participate in fundraising efforts to support our system and colleges.
