Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

We used Hootsuite to post on Facebook, Linkedin, and Pinterest, for 4 different brands. It was super easy to draft and publish posts while keeping the brands separate. We had an integration with our digital asset management system (DAM) so I could easily grab photos from our company library.

When it came to analytics, there were a lot of premade templates or you could customize dashboards to see data that was unique to you. You were able to select which profiles you wanted in your data and could add or remove profiles with a click of a button! The data was overall good. There were a few things with ad spend that were harder to track in Hootsuite (would need to track in Meta instead).

Hootsuite's customer service was decent. However, there were a lot of times they didn't know the answer and would take days to get a response from someone who did.

  • Easy to create, edit, and draft post
  • Analytics
  • Lots of webinars to learn more about the product
  • Customer Service and account executives: I had 3 different AEs within 1 year and the customer service didn't always know the answers to my questions
  • The ability to move posts in the calendar monthly view
  • we were able to see our total reach and impressions. we wanted to get in front of as many people as possible and we did that
  • ROI was tricky to set up so we didn't put a cost to each metric
  • We were able to reply to customer inquiries with ease and get back to them in a timely manner. We could also assign messages to different users.
Overall it is easy to use and you can manage all your social media accounts here. The posting process is easy, especially if you have your photo assets linked. The analytics help to see what types of posts do well to help tweak future content. The messaging/inbox feature is useful for responding to customers and inquiries. Hootsuite also has the social listening option to see when/if people are talking about your company online.
We can see in the inbox feature when people sned us messages. We can see where they came from and if they have any previous convos with us. Sometimes, certain media may not show in Hootsuite, you you have to go to the social platform's inbox to see it. I was easy to reply and was instant.
Overall, Hootsuite is very similar to Sprout Social. some of the analytics are a little different, but the posting process is similar. Sprout does have a social listening too, but i can't remember how it compares to Hootsuite.

Compared to Hubspot, Hubspot is a all in one CRM/marketing management software. It's nice to have everything in one place and not have to be on multiple software/platforms

Do you think Hootsuite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Hootsuite's feature set?

Yes

Did Hootsuite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Hootsuite go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Hootsuite again?

Yes

- Managing multiple accounts: you can add many social accounts to your account. It's super easy to make posts for specific brands/platforms - - Seeing data historically: Hootsuite can backdate data for years (I think) so it's a great way to look at historical data
- The social listening tool: you can see what's going on in your industry or if people are talking about your brand
