Overall Satisfaction with Hotjar
Both the marketing and web team within our organization use Hotjar to gain insights on how our customers are using our website and to find improvements that we can make to the customer experience. We use surveys, heatmaps, recordings, and funnels to gain actionable insights that we can use to improve.
- Surveys - we like that we can put these on individual pages that need improvement to gain insights
- Easy to use interface - all team members have easily been able to implement
- We like the email notifications when surveys have been completed
- They are switching from manual to automated heatmaps, and we don't always get as good of data
- Would love more options in the free version

Hotjar gives us what we need at no cost - great for a small organization. We used VWO when we worked with an agency for some marketing needs. It was a really useful tool that essentially does what Hotjar does for us, but it was cost prohibitive once we were no longer working with the agency. Hotjar has similar tools that work just as well for our small company.
