Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot CRM

We use HubSpot to organize and manage our data from our ecommerce platforms. This is very helpful for categorizing deals by company and seeing our repeat vs. one-off customers. E-commerce platforms offer this data, but it is not organized in a way that is helpful to foster or maintain relationships. Additionally, those platforms do not offer the flexibility of other components, such as marketing, services, or operations.
  • Syncing data with Shopify
  • User interface
  • Adding, editing, or managing records.
  • The features we need are behind paywalls.
  • Data syncing is somewhat limited; the solution(s) we need requires custom coding.
  • The marketing components are not as user-friendly as others.
  • Concentrating data from ecommerce platforms is helpful for visualization of customer base.
  • Easy to track communications
  • Easy to add and manage records and follow up tasks.
HubSpot provides a satisfactory out-of-box experience; the UI is nice and neat, and the system overall is easy to navigate.

Other platforms I've used (Dynamics, Salesforce) are more robust; it is very easy to get overwhelmed or lost in everything that is offered, which can deter team usage. However, once setup, these platforms seem to outperform other offerings.
HubSpot seemed to offer an easier out-of-the-box experience; the UI was simple and integrating our e-commerce platform was easy enough to set up. Managing customer records was pretty easy, although some of the features we wanted were locked behind paywalls and required special coding or flows to be created. The free version of HubSpot was attractive, and stepping up to the Starter package was a good and cost-effective option.
However, in exploring the upgrade to Professional or Enterprise editions, HubSpot can actually cost more than Salesforce or Dynamics, both of which are robust, trusted platforms.

For smaller businesses or startups that need a basic CRM, HubSpot is a great option. The free version is actually pretty robust and can check most of the boxes.

For more robust needs or advanced features, pricing can be on par with other options such as Dynamics or Salesforce, both of which are excellent, robust systems with great support.
