Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

OM Partners uses KnowBe4 as a phishing campaign solution for the entire company. We tried to use as well the Modstore for making training but so far found the way to define new campaign rather complex and unclear for defining user notifications. Additionally, we have periodical issues with SAML authentication and I cannot rely on this solution as a training platform. While we like the content of the Modstore - the use of it is not easy for OM Partners.
  • Limited fit for OM Partners due to the issues explained. But we see the good quality of the content.
  • Quality translation to different languages.
  • Users are annoyed with "too many" trainings
  • Notifications (too many options with no clear explanation on the difference). Difficult to set up with the browser interface.
  • SAML login issues destroy trust to the solution.
  • Unclear how to configure links expirations.
  • We have started recently. We believe in the benefits, but these aren't assessed yet.
A bit easier to setup campaigns

Very limited as due to the issues explained we cannot use it widely.
AD connect + SAML.
Phishing campaign dashboard.
The content of Modstore looks great. But configuring a training campaign and then resolving user's issues with logging in is a serious challenge.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features

SSO/SAML didn't work as expected initially. It broke the trust from the users and we stopped the use of the awareness model and excluded it now from the subscription.
We failed already with the first campaign. We didn't go to any AI options.
The training have good quality but didn't fit the organization's culture.

Using KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

We started of the pilot group of 50 people, but most of them could not log in to the portal. We stopped it.
1 - ICT and Security
  • Phishing
  • Credential sharing
  • Acceptable use
The trust from users and management was broken. They prefer homemade solutions.

Evaluating KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training and Competitors

Yes - Yes, we have the internal training solution and the processes behind it.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
We initially purchased the Platinum license that includes the Awareness model, but then we stopped the awareness model as it didn't suit us.
Ensure that it has the appropriate user integration and then synchronization with the internal reporting solutions.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Implementation

Instructions were clear but still, users had issues with login to the portal.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation

  • Online training
  • no training
Training content is good but didn't get acceptance from the users.
No, not at all. A good st up checklist and user guide (or even training on the product) is required.

Configuring KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

There are a lot of options you can determine through the campaign setup.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Support

Knowledgeable team
Quick Initial Response
No. Since we stopped awareness module, there are no more issues for users as they only get phishing mails and do not need to login to the portal.
My account manager checks the campaigns that we set up and advises on improvements.
I cannot complain of non-responsiveness, but due to unknown reason some of my tickets (from the EU) were supported by the US time-zone, which leaves only an option for only 1 mail exchange per day and in fact didn't provide real help to the problem, but just sent some standard answers. One of my tickets wasn't picked up for more than a day and I had to call the account manager to attract the support team's attention to it. My expectations from the Platinum subscription are much higher.

Using KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

Unnecessarily complex
Requires technical support
Lots to learn
  • Login to the portal
  • Setting up landing pages

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Reliability

We didn't approach the point when we wanted to go beyond the Security area.
We didn't get buy-in from our users and management.
No issues discover any load speed issues, but the SAML integration was a problem.

Integrating KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

SAML didn't work as expected.
  • AD
We read users from AD.
  • HR systems
  • Training department systems
We made our home development for such integrations.
  • File import/export
