Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training has been a major benefit in helping all our users be more aware of the dangers of phishing emails. While we, of course, continue to experience ups and downs with people successfully passing phishing simulations, our overall security posture has dramatically improved throughout the years of using KnowBe4. We recently introduced it to our international staff, leveraging the multi-lingual capabilities of KnowBe4's training.
- Better educated staff, in the context of security.
- The Inside Man series has generated a lot of excitement and attention on security awareness.
- Incorporating quizzes into the video content is a great way to help ensure users are really paying attention.
- Our global presence has presented some challenges in managing the content across multiple countries - creating some improved structure around that would be helpful.
- Staff is constantly talking about email security awareness, and we have cultivated a general culture of caution toward emails, which is extremely valuable.
- There is a cult following at our organization of The Inside Man. New seasons released create quite the buzz in our office, and many people have water cooler discussions about it, which clearly shows a much greater awareness of security awareness.
- Once we reached about one year of usage with KnowBe4, we experienced zero email-related security breaches, which I think can be directly attributed to our KB4 implementation.
Because we have been so happy with KnowBe4, we have not evaluated any competitors for many years. Initially, the great pricing that KnowBe4 offered to us as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit was a big selling factor, but the product itself has turned our organization into a big fan of KB4. I have personally recommended KB4 to many colleagues over the years.

Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?

The availability of fresh training content has been a real boon to our continuing efforts related to cybersecurity awareness. If the content did not refresh frequently, our effort would certainly become stale, and staff would quickly lose interest in staying current on their assigned training. That is definitely a differentiator in keeping our security awareness training progression.
Since KB4 is tied into our Microsoft Active Directory, it has made user management much simpler. As soon as a new hire's account is created in our Microsoft AD, that automatically kicks off enrollment of the new user in the KB4 training. We have it set up to enroll new users in the basic training video, and then, in turn, novice users receive a less intense version of the simulated phishing attempts for a few months, while more experienced users are configured to get more intense/complicated phishing simulations.
The Leader Board has become a great tool to help us promote security awareness. Users across the different functional departments of our organization can see how they are doing against other departments, and it creates some friendly competition as the departments try to "outdo" each other on how quickly they get the training done, and how many phishing simulations they have passed/failed. And periodically, we offer some low-cost incentives to "sweeten the pot" - things like Amazon gift cards or simple public recognition.
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Feature Ratings
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features
It has definitely made managing everything much easier, and it has allowed us to leverage more user-specific phishing simulations, because KB4 can pull information from our Active Directory. It gives us greater ability to create more complex levels of phishing simulations for our more advanced users. Otherwise, we aren't able to create levels of complexity.
Yes, the AI-driven personalized training is great. We had some users who were getting a bit lax in their training, because it had grown too easy. Now that KB4's AI can see who each person's supervisor is through Active Directory, it is creating much better and more challenging tests for the users who have been using KB4 for a long time.
No, we have not used that feature.

3 - We have primarily used people from our IT team to manage everything related to KB4 security awareness training, but with the introduction of our overseas staff using it as well, one of our Business Analysts has been brought into the mix to administer the system for the foreign staff.
