Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue
We use LogMeIn Rescue as a means of providing ad hoc support for our clients who do not use our RMM remote software. Some of our customers simply cannot afford a monthly charge but can afford the ad hoc support we provide. It addresses our ability to quickly log in and fix problems on a customer's machine.
- File transfer
- Remote control
- Remote troubleshooting and analysis of computer stats
- Ease of multimonitor support
- File transfer used to be straight-forward, but is more cumbersome of late
- I would like to see all monitors of the user simultaneously launch upon connect
- Ease of deployment with less than tech savvy customers.
- The name is recognized as being trusted, so little to no pushback from our customers.
- Provides us a way to provide on-demand support without leaving a permanent footprint on their systems.
- The one negative is that the cost prevents us from using it as the permanent solution for RMM.
- Kaseya VSA, Pulseway and SolarWinds Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)
Kaseya is way too expensive for what they offer. While scripting is nice, most of the time, the user just wants you to get in, fix it, and leave. Pulseway is good, but I frankly do not like the lack of support for a probe to install on a network and install the product to machines. Dameware is limited to LAN install only. I have to connect to the LAN and then can use it, and support over VPN frankly sucks.
