Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

I was able to create and understand Lucidchart immediately, there was almost no learning curve stopping me from expressing the ideas I wanted to express in a Lucidchart.
Lucidchart is used across all of our Engineering projects to create a high level and intuitive view of a software or hardware design, an engineering solution, or an Engineering problem.
  • It is intuitive.
  • A quick Lucidchart chart is very expressive, communicating an idea quickly and efficiently.
  • Lucidchart's make abstract ideas or designs concrete with minimal effort
  • Lucidchart is an excellent way to make efficient and usable engineering documentation quickly.
  • Lucidchart could make aligning Icons more exact and intuitive for better spaced and formatted charts.
  • It would make it better to have a larger variety of points on icons to connect arrows to.
  • I may have missed it, but an option to choose the increments on the "snap to" alignment grid.
  • Lucidchart has reduced the time it takes to effectively express an engineering design to other engineers, so they can help in the implementation.
  • Lucidchart has reduced the time we need to create effective engineering charts to create documentation about an engineering design, so that others or the original creators can review the original design of a project months after conception.
  • Lucidchart has helped make creating intuitive Software and Hardware design charts as part of the natural design life cycle at Rebel Space Technologies.
We like Lucidchart, and are currently working to integrate it with GitHub.
I give it a high rating based mostly off of its usability, and effectiveness.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

Lucidchart has a better UI and better organized Icons than draw.io. It is also a little more intuitive to use. The only feature I like more in draw.io is the fact that it lets you select the size of the "snap to" grid, the arrows are more intuitive to use to connect icons together, and there are more connection points on icons that can be used to link the icon to an arrow.
It is great for creating initial engineering designs, but it may need some work in the areas I mentioned to make more fine and detailed final designs for an engineering project. I think that it would also be good for creating charts to describe business analytics or general business diagrams, but I haven't used it for this purpose.
