Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
Mailchimp solves the problem of being able to keep in contact with my customers without too much leg work. Since most of my time is spent designing creative projects for my clients, I have very little time for self-promotion and updating my clients on what is happening in my company. Mailchimp is a vital tool in my administrative arsenal.
- There are templates available that are easily customizable.
- Updating and maintaining lists is easy.
- I’d like to see some new templates added.
- The process of getting rid of duplicates could be a bit simpler.
- It helps me keep my clients informed about new products and services my company offers
- Having a dedicated email service to stay in compliance with anti-spam laws is a big plus. Nobody wants to be blacklisted.
While both of these are viable options, Mailchimp’s user interface seemed much more intuitive and was a much better visual design. Being a creative person, I appreciated that and wanted to give it a chance based on that alone. But beyond the aesthetics, one of the other programs didn’t have the level of customization that I needed, and the one that did have it was not easy to use. Mailchimp was the clear winner in my book.
There are capabilities within male chimp that I will most likely never use. Their e-commerce features, for example, integrate with a wide variety of payment processors, and for those requiring emails that have that type of capability, this program is terrific. I also like how it integrates with my other software seamlessly, and this is definitely an improvement over previous versions where it seemed to be more standalone.
For me, I am not looking to gain new clients through my emails. Most of my referrals come by word-of-mouth. But as I mentioned, our use Mailchimp to maintain existing client relationships, and to keep them informed about what’s happening within my company, and products and services that we offer. One last thing I did learn was not to send too many emails. Being that Mailchimp is so easy to use, it is tempting to send too many. I always try to envision that I am the one receiving these emails, and if it seems annoying to me it’s probably annoying to my customers too.
