Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
We are using it to run email campaigns, nurtures, and landing pages where multiple distribution points are driven. We pull some reports from Marketo, but Salesforce is more of the system of record. It is used by Marketing only. It helps us to scale our marketing efforts and we are working on more automation in this regard as well.
Pros
- Cloning programs while not duplicating unnecessary tnings
- Being able to expand tokens to multiple programs.
- Making tweaking messages easier, and personalization easier with dynamic content
Cons
- It’s tough to find certain things as some parts of UI are not Intuitive
- The steep learning curve to start in a way.
- I wish it tracked more full funnel metrics and tracked connections between programs better

- Prospecting / New Business
We are trying to really do more upsell and cross-sell for most products. We have an ABM initiative we are launching. It does well with execution, but right now I feel central reporting is lacking.
I didn’t select Marketo, but I would say it is more robust of a platform. If you want to get up and running quickly or use G Suite the other two might be better.
