Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Our whole organization uses Microsoft 365. It is the be-all end-all for our organization. We make extensive use of SharePoint, Teams, the office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Access DB, and Outlook. It's a phenomenal tool and extremely well integrated. Within our department, we communicate constantly on the Teams platform and we are always sharing files or editing synchronously in documents or workbooks.
- Fully integrated
- Easy to learn
- Almost any feature you can imagine
- Extensive support
- Clean design and use
- The Outlook calendar feature is outdated compared to Teams.
- Integrating Outlook and Teams would be a useful idea.
- Excel online isn't nearly as functional as the desktop version.
- Excel/Word/Outlook
- Teams -- editing/commenting/tasks/sharing files
- SharePoint -- all synced together
- Positive -- seamless use
- Positive -- ability to recover lost documents. No version control issues.
- Positive -- quickly edit together, share screens, work remotely, the whole 9 yards!
- Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance), MariaDB Platform, Slack, Trello, Google Drive, Google Hangouts Chat and Google Hangouts Meet
MS 365 does everything all at the same time. It's the platform, the cloud, the messaging, the task management, the document creation, editing, sharing, the screensharing, the whole thing. There's just nothing that competes in a meaningful way with MS 365. I think GSuite is probably the most likely to compete, but given that GSuite is all cloud-based, I don't think it's an apples-to-apples comparison since MS 365 can do both.
