Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We have used training with it, both national and in our area. We also have utilized it during the pandemic to facilitate bible study for students across a whole spectrum of areas. In those, we would play games on the software, use the timers for discussion, and mark up pdfs on the Miro.
  • Having locking and unlocking features.
  • Having music/timers on screen.
  • Some preset icebreakers available.
  • When things are not set in stone, each user can drag the pdf on screen (not terribly user-friendly with a high learning curve).
  • The zooming in and out of the screen can get frustrating.
  • Being able to see all the cursors usually slows down use of the product.
  • We had 10 people from all over LA join us for our bible study conference.
  • I was part of a national training of 30 staff with one facilitator in Turkey.
  • It saved money on printing as the passages were on screen rather than in front of them literally.
There needs to be a longer onramp of learning how to use the core and best features of the product. I'll admit that it can get a bit frustrating at first but for those folks that stay past the initial roughness, there is definitely a payoff. Also, the longer folks use it the more it's helpful. We utilized it the most during the pandemic when we weren't able to be together in person.
It is a little more difficult to understand the core features. I'll admit that the preparation for the bible study conference took so much time for me as a new user. I needed a more skilled and seasoned user to help prepare my board for me. There can be more support and training for the initial setup.
This is one of the best reasons to use Miro. We had users from all over the city of LA join us for our bible study conference. And we have had national training with people from each time zone in the US as well as overseas in places such as Turkey.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

No

Miro would be best utilized when coworkers are not present with one another in the same room. In our religious context, it provided a good structure for our bible studies in ways that a google doc did not have as many features. I think in the case of going back to something week after week it makes sense to use.
