Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use this for whiteboarding, sprint demos, process documentation, and collaboration. Nearly identical to MURAL in functionality but extremely limited in administration management. The team was recently forced to move from a Team to Enterprise license, which has quickly changed how we love and use this product. The sales tactics, the migration process, and flexibility leave much to be desired. Our customer success manager was extremely dismissive of the issues we've encountered and was perfectly okay with us having to manually move 400+ boards. In addition, we now have no control over others in the organization being forced to either join our team board or have no access - even to the free addition. Even better, we had to prove this to our CSM who did not believe us. We asked to move back to our Team license because nothing is working and it is causing extreme stress on our operations team. The answer was we were locked in and too large of an organization to move. I can't get over how absolutely horrendous the experience the last 2 months has been, especially because we really did love this product. Actively looking to go back to MURAL, because if we have to migrate, it might as well be to someone who wants our business.
  • Flowcharts
  • Collaboration
  • Small, easy agile Kanban boards
  • Customer service
  • Licensing
  • Migration from Teams to Enterprise licensing
  • Product administration and user management
  • Permission management
  • Improved productivity and collaboration
  • Visualization of programs across teams, documenting flows
  • Negative impact on operations and administration - too much wasted time, not built for the enterprise
Does not seem to be built for easy administration once you get past the Team license.
SSO process was frustrating - the only integration we have attempted.
It's been great - I would not consider switching had it not been for the Customer Service and Sales experience and the poor functionality of our Enterprise license.

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

No

Would you buy Miro again?

No

Miro and MURAL are very similar, went with Miro because it was slightly less money at the time InVision is more advanced, and didn't think the entire team could adapt
Well suited to collaboration amongst teams - especially remote. Use in agile sprint retro and demos, not ideal for advanced agile boards but simple getting started is fine. Access to great templates, getting you started on a project or working session. Brainstorming, voting, and timers work great
