Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is currently used for our Product Increments planning. Now they are going back to an excel list again in Confluence because not everyone is used to get along with Miro. As a designer, I think that Miro is great for roadmap planning and getting an overview of what the issues are for next year. As a designer, I do not use Miro al lot because of other tooling.
  • Sort post-its
  • Easy user interface and templates
  • Collaboration with big groups
  • Sketching, more option for free sketching (like Freehand/InVision)
  • Zoom in and zoom out (I get lost sometimes)
  • Not every icon is clear
  • Improved overview on projects
  • Not everyone in our company had a license
  • User management is not well organised within the company
It makes brainstorming a lot easier for me as a designer. I only want to use digital whiteboards because then you always have them in your archive.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

No

I think Miro is great for product management. The templates and canvasses are very convenient to use. As a designer, I think they can improve more in the sketching part.
I think it will work for planning our sprints and PI planning with our product owner. It's a tool everyone can use easily in our development team. But in a larger organisation it's hard that not everyone has the ability to learn the Miro tooling. So some elderly colleagues still prefer using excel over digital whiteboarding. For me, as a designer, I use more FigJam or Freehand for brainstorming with my design team. I can easily create design sketches where I found it harder with Miro because of the less ways to create pen strokes etc.
