Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely
We use Optimizely to run A/B tests on every page of our website. We chose it because of how easy it is to use; the drag and drop editor makes things very easy for non-technical people, and the results page is very easy to understand. We didn't want to have to hire a statistician to interpret our results!
Pros
- Makes results easy to interpret
- Easy to use WYSIWYG editor
- Easy to control traffic flow if you don't want a 50/50 split
Cons
- The WYSIWYG editor can be a little finicky
- I had trouble selecting the right object, and when objects were linked together, moving one thing caused an unexpected chain reaction that was frustrating to fix
- We had issues with PHP sites not displaying correctly
- Increased "add to cart"
- Avoided making a change that would decrease conversions
- Learned insights about where people click on the homepage
- Visual Website Optimizer,Google Content Experiments
Our choice of Optimizely was based on ease of use, reputation, and price. All 3 solutions seemed to have high reviews from users. We found VWO to be the most expensive, with Google CE being free and Optimizely in the middle. However we ruled out Google because it seemed to have a higher learning curve.
