Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for all our payroll needs. We have the system integrated with recruiting software so that onboarding is done electronically and uploaded into the Paylocity system. All employee information is entered and edited, and all pay detail is included. Payroll reports, ACA compliance, and more can be accessed through their reporting system. Processing payroll is seamless, and the system is very user-friendly.

Paylocity has saved us time by providing efficient and automated programs and software to reduce time spent on employee management and payroll details. We utilize the reporting features to determine staffing needs and to maintain compliance with various agencies, saving us time spent working on this in a more manual manner.
We actually don't use these features with our Paylocity software package.
Paylocity has far surpassed other payroll companies that we have used in the past. Our sales rep not only did a phenomenal job of selling and pricing the product to us but remains available now, years after we first started using the product, for any questions or issues we may have. We have a wonderful, dedicated account rep that has been assigned to our company for several years, and the confidence we have in him is exceptional. We like their software and appreciate how user-friendly it is and easy to customize based on our needs. Previous payroll companies we've used are mediocre and get the job done but don't have the personal touch that Paylocity has and definitely don't have the customized features we currently have. Based on customer service, sales excellence, and overall software usability, I'd never go back to any of the products we had used in the past.

Using Paylocity
2 - Accounting uses the system for various monthly and quarterly reporting and for tax purposes. The Payroll Manager uses the systems for employee onboarding uploads, for daily employee updates, managing time keeping, running payroll and producing reports.
1 - The Payroll Manager is the only one that is in-house and works with the Paylocity systems. The skills required are knowledge of the web-based system to be able to enter new hires, make any changes to employee profiles, obtain pay information for various reporting and run payrolls. The skills are mainly from hands-on learning and experience doing the job.

- The reporting system provides some nice charts and graphs to show many company features.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors
Yes - The products replaced were the old pay systems we had used in the past. One was ADP and the other was a private accounting firm. Paylocity had so many attractive features and we were given all that was promised during the sales meetings. I have never regretting the decision to go with Paylocity.

The biggest factor that was important to me in moving to the Paylocity platform was how it would integrate with our point of sales system in our restaurants. The integration team worked hard to be sure all parameters were set up prior to processing our first payroll. There was a minor change we had to make to our spreadsheets that got uploaded, but Paylocity worked with us to make that change.
I honestly wouldn't change anything about our evaluation and selection process. I am very happy with our decision to go with Paylocity.

Change management was minimal - There were really no major issues with implementing Paylocity. We just had to get used to an automated system when it comes to the onboarding and uploading of new hires, along with the different integrations that were done.

No, we didn't want to spend the extra money until we knew the services were efficient for us. There was no need for any premium support, as the regular support team as already great.
I've had several times that Paylocity provided exceptional support, so will pick the largest issue I've had to date. We were processing a payroll early on and after employees got paid, realized that the pay rates weren't right. After some investigation by our client rep, we realized that the spreadsheet generated from our POS system had too many columns for the Paylocity system to read it. We did some editing and found a solution to prevent this from happening again. Paylocity kindly helped us void and reissue a lot of paychecks and all was handled very efficiently.
