Overall Satisfaction with Procore
We use Procore to manage all official communications with the client. This includes RFI, submittals, construction drawings, meeting minutes, emails, etc. We also use it to manage the tender packages and their communications with the bidders. Procore is the go-to place to learn how everything is going, no need to use emails and it always reminds you of your pending activities before they reach the due date.
- Reminding every user what ball is in their court. This helps you keep track and not fall behind.
- Assign tasks to every user. You can do so within most of the tools.
- Manage different permission templates. They can be very detailed and that's good.
- Some tools are missing some very basic options that can be frustrating on your day-to-day tasks. For example, you have to search names with accents, otherwise, they won't show up.
- Support can underestimate its users, sometimes you expect a deeper answer and you get just a basic one.
- It could have some help bubbles around the tools. Sometimes things are not clear and you just don't want to go read the manual, so a help bubble would come in handy.
- We increased reliability on the information of the projects, although ROI has not been calculated.
We integrated Procore with BIMTrack for RFI creation. It's not a very robust integration but saves some time while elevating some issues to RFI. We would have done more integrations but there is not much support for Google-based apps, it leans more towards Microsoft tools like Power BI and Microsoft Teams.
We do not fill daily logs in Procore. We've seen the tool has many options but that practice is not adopted in the region.
It has certainly had an impact in our the value we deliver to our customers and how they see us. This is something staff members appreciate and learn new skills in relation to project management. However, since this kind of tool is fairly new in the region, I don't think it has attracted talent by itself. Staff members are happy to learn to use it but might not come to the company for it.
Procore tools are more manageable, customizable, and robust. The licensing scheme is better for us since it provides unlimited users.
