Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base
It's used in multiple departments. In my department we engage with a lot of different external companies for a potential partnership, and a lot of them reach out to us. Multiple people may be contacted and often times it takes a while to connect again or we will frequently reconsider the engagement. Quick Base is used to streamline all information so everyone has the same information and we can reference prior conversations.
- Different levels of access -- can edit or just view
- Customization of input fields
- Sections for different information (e.g., document, activities)
- More templates using functions the best way they can be
Building applications that suit our specific needs is a pro for Quick Base. Everyone needs different categories of information, depending on what purpose Quick Base is serving. Quick Base enables this. It's somewhat like blogging tools where they have different components of a document available and you can drag/drop to create your custom page. They also have some templates available where you can just adopt what someone has already built.
I used Asana for project management, which is a bit different than how I'm using Quick Base. Asana has better UI/UX-- I think a bit more intuitive and pleasing interface. This is not a deal-breaker, and nice to have but honestly, it's nice. Also, I'm using the free version of Asana so that's definitely a plus.
- Building and deploying business applications faster
- Improving collaboration across one or more teams
- Solving a specific business challenge
Before Quick Base, we just kept a spreadsheet. It's not easy to look for information, and the information was fragmented. Some people had few pieces of information, others had other information. There were multiple people involved so it was easy to miss the information. This is why we started using Quick Base: to create a repository, which is working and can find information faster.
