Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase
The scope for my use case is having information just in time and in real time. I'm able to provide my clients with all the information they need and reporting out efficiently and effectively. With my team, we update the system from a completion standpoint, which produces Gantt charts, reports, and gauges, and the client is extremely happy with us because I tell them exactly what's going out in the field.
- Quickbase is an Excel on steroids that put on makeup. Excel is one of my favorite tools. However, Quickbase and being a Quickbase builder has enabled me to grow in my profession personally. Especially being able to build anytime a client or internal stakeholder needs something built for them, I can immediately do it within several hours and produce an end product that's easily received by the end user.
- With the new dashboard functionality, they need to work on that and they also need to keep the old-style look and not get rid of it.
- They should always keep the toggle switch from old to new.
- The return on investment from Quickbase, from a project management perspective, project managers in this industry are treated very well financially. So if I can make a 10-hour effort into one, you're saving a lot more time and my resources can be put elsewhere. I would say productivity from a human capital perspective is one of the biggest strengths.
We have been achieving this benefit for the past seven years. I came on two years ago as a certified builder. Quickbase is my tertiary role at my company. I need to lead the project forward. However, Quickbase allows us to have all the information in our hands at any given time and be able to report out even if it's a grid edit looking like an Excel, which you export, or any of the chart availabilities that they do have.
Pipelines, arguments, and formulated ideas. So Quickbase, anytime I get a change request from the client, I'm able to adjust and flex and make sure that I'm operating with a suitable change management ideology to make sure that the client's happy with the end result. When I say client, I can mean the actual consumer, I can mean the stakeholder, and I can mean my directors. Just making sure that every party is happy makes a project manager's life even easier than it should be.
I am a project manager at Sturgeon Electric, California. I have been given the ability to create the Quickbase I need. Whether I fail or succeed, it's up to me and I'm fully accountable, but Quickbase enables me to be successful.
