Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

Rippling was used primarily by our HR, admin, and sometimes the finance team as well. Some of the problems we were trying to solve included automation of payroll, verification, and collection of documents to onboard new joiners. We also used it for getting them set up with the devices that were assigned to them based on the team they were on. It was easy to assign and allocate technical hardware resources via the platform as well, which would help keep our inventory up to date. We further used it to align the appropriate insurance and their policies as well. Aside from all this, it really helped us scale our entire workforce and cut down our time for repeat operational tasks.
  • It collates all the documents relevant to each individual seamlessly and in a very reliable way. The checklist feature makes sure we don't miss out on anything that is important.
  • The hardware allocation was extremely convenient and was super simple to set up, cutting down all the useless inventory hassles we had earlier. Now it's an extremely lightweight interface that lets me manage and circle through hardware and have a single view of everything.
  • Running payroll was extremely helpful and was done in minutes; it made the whole process efficient since we got rid of manual intervention and Excel sheets.
  • The report generation is a bit laggy and can be improved. It takes a while to understand the schema and structure of it; I really had to get used to it and further train my team on that as well.
  • Onboarding took some time, as this process is very feature filled but demands a lot of strict boundaries and ways to implement things which might be different from traditional ways to do things, which was very manual. I wish there was better documentation and a more process-driven approach
  • The price of the whole end-to-end software was definitely a bit on the expensive end and I wish we could get it for a lower price, as we're a startup and just starting to grow.
  • Onboarding medical documents and physical insurance papers was pretty challenging.
  • We cut down several hundred hours of our HR and administrators' time, which definitely had a huge effect on the organization.
  • We also had more efficient systems in place for onboarding and assuring the team had ample access to resources, which made the employees' satisfaction up overall.
  • As we scale up, we'd still have to account for costs for the software and would be keen to reduce it, as it still is one of the most expensive piece of software we have used internally.
Once onboarded, the process is seamless. We love how it unifies everything the HR and admin prefer without unnecessary hassles, maintaining documents and files across the organization. It also has some really well-built and robust integrations, which made our lives simpler. Overall the product is very reliable and just works when executed.

Rippling is fantastic for a growing startup or an organization that includes a lot of manual to digital operational efforts, cutting them down and reducing the time as well. Some of the features, once set up, make the HR's life very seamless and day-to-day tasks very easy to execute with consistent and accurate information. However, I wouldn't recommend for a small company to use it if it has less complexity in terms of its employees, insurance policies, etc. We use it for various types of employees, from interns to consultants to C-level executives.
