Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I use Sage Intacct daily to review GL account transactions as well as the trial balance as a whole. I am able to drill into specific AP activities and see attached .pdf invoices if any questions arise. At month's end, I upload Journal Entries prepared in Excel. If adjustments to journal entries need to be made due to late invoices coming in that need to be accrued or correcting errors, making the updates to existing journal entries (as long as the period has not been closed) is user-friendly. I also pull account detail when questions arise from specific accounts, with periods ranging from a single month to a full year.
  • Uploading Large Journal Entries.
  • Pulling GL Details.
  • Drilling into AP Invoices.
  • Drilling into Specific Customer Accounts.
  • Cash Reconciliation.
  • The ability for a second upload batch in a single JE.
  • AP Advances and applying payments are sometimes confusing.
  • Monthly close has been more efficient by at least one business day.
  • More timely information is provided to decision-makers.
  • Increased payment discounts due to more up-to-date information.
While we do not use automation, we do frequently lean on the GL and AP management tools the Sage Intacct offers. We have been able to pay bills more time which has benefited us in terms of early payment discounts and better payment terms, n60 in some cases. Additionally, drilling into GL detail to be able to pull real-time information is highly beneficial for certain decision-making/expense tracking vs. budget.
Not applicable for my role.
For AP tracking, I am able to customize what information is displayed depending on who is asking for data. Not everyone who is asking for vendor data needs to see all information so being able to configure this in a way that is customized based on the person asking is beneficial.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct is far superior to JD Edwards, specifically for the JE upload function. Not having to manually enter large journal entries has saved me hours of raw time and error correction. Additionally, the GL detail provided by Sage is much cleaner as well as the ability to drill right into the pdf support makes for more reliable data.
Month-end close is a very smooth process thanks to Sage Intacct. I am able to view all JEs in each specific journal (GJ, PYRJ, CDJ, etc.) and ensure all entries have been booked. Ad hoc entries, even large ones, are also easy to track because of this functionality. For our needs with a large number of cash transactions, the cash reconciliation process could be more user-friendly in terms of seeing accurate check numbers and check status (cleared/OS).
