We are a SAP company and had SAP HR since 2000 so it made sense to be in the SAP framework.

Change management was a major issue with the implementation - One time training isn't enough and a lot of reputation is needed. It needs to reinforced even after go live
- Scope definition was incorrect
- Change management
- Vendor management
SAP SuccessFactors Training
- No Training
It was neither easy nor difficult but given an option I would train before implementing so you can ask the right questions.
Configuring SAP SuccessFactors
Keep it as simple and as standard as possible.
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface - It wasn't too bad.
Some - we have added small pieces of custom code - This is the part which isn't very good with SF. This was mainly to replace dynamic actions from on premise. We had custom code to integrate dynamic action from SF to on premise SAP HR.

Integrating SAP SuccessFactors
- SAP HR on premise

- HireRight
Our payroll, benefits and retirement are in SAP HR on premise so we have all employees data being integrated to on premise. Getting the integration wasn't easy, the biggest challenge was to have dynamic action update real time with integration in on premise.
The other third party ones are mostly through API.
The other third party ones are mostly through API.
- HireRight
We do know they support but we are having some issue with that.
- API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
Make sure you understand what can be and can't be integrated in a standard option.
Relationship with SAP
There was a delay in our project by almost a year and I don't have all the details, but this was something that was negotiated.
Please make sure the scope is very clear and well defined.
