Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
ScreenConnect is being used in a remote management capacity as well as adhoc fix and repair for user issues.
- Unattended Remote connect.
- Attended Remote Connection with or without an invite.
- It is super easy to send an invite to customers, they are just one click away from your service.
- It is also easy to walk a customer through the website to connect remotely.
- I love the small simple footprint of ScreenConnect. It's there, it works and it is unobtrusive.
- I used to procrastinate upgrades to our server, but now that we use a hosted solution it is just done and I can continue working and not loose production hours to maintain the system.
- It could send alerts to the management side for, say, Critical Event Logs. But really that is getting into other product areas.
- I am not sure, when I vet a new product I look for a couple of things. Does it work, Does it do what it is supposed to do? Does it do it easily without ridiculous setups and excessively time consuming configuration? What is the user experience going to be like, is it a tool they can use without hesitation, without pain? What is the end user experience going to be like? Can they use it without great knowledge? will it be easy for them? ScreenConnect checks all these boxes.
- I know the question asked for improvements for ScreenConnect but I really just gave it more compliments. I am positive there can be improvements but really it does what it is supposed to do. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what's next.
- Increased efficiency, [because we can] quickly access a remote management server/workstation.
- The ability to fix it now instead of the next time I am onsite.
- The ease to transfer files back and forth from the client.
I have used Teamviewer in the past, great product but if not the priciest it's gotta be close. ROI is too far out, not realized for a much longer period of time.
Splashtop is another remote product I have used. It's not as robust and too many hicupps, not to mention it is intrusive for the users. When I used splashtop I would hear 2 -3 times a week about spalshtop doing something that the user didn't initiate.
I have used the following:
RDP - great but a security risk, can't leave those ports open.
Gotomypc - Great for an individual no so much for a team or for managing many business / Nodes.
VNC, RealVNC, UltraVNC - Decent but not reliable enough.
PCAnywhere - I remember it but not much about it.
GotoMeeting - too cumbersome.
join.me - too cumbersone, end users had a hard time with it.
