Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use it not only as a team chat for private and group communication, but also have coordination channels for short, middle and long term projects.
It has also helped us integrate the same dynamics with other companies that use Slack as well, making communication seamless across companies under a single platform.
  • Manage private and team communication
  • Provide easy to use follow up tools like reminders or bookmarks
  • Allows to search chat history with several filters at the same time
  • In my opinion, access to help and troubleshooting is quite inconvenient
  • I've found contacts section rearranges based on historical interactions without presets to change it based on other criteria
  • In my experience, sometimes notifications of read messages does not go away (mobile)
  • Fast communication
  • Historical data tracking
  • Document sharing
Slack is an integral solution for team communication, with an easy to use interface, intuitive access to its different modules, and lighter than its closest competitors. Even though more resource consuming than Google Chat, all the additional features justify the cost-benefit.
The modules and interface are much cleaner and with better options than Microsoft Teams.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

Slack is a very useful tool regardless of the size of your teams. To be honest, I don't see a scenario where Slack doesn't fit. From small sized teams for casual projects, to large companies, the tools at hand make it a great way to communicate, consult historical data through chats, and documents. The only reason I would not recommend using it is if your current tool covers your needs and your processes are already oiled up.
