- UX - In my opinion, latest updated introduced horrible UX changes - There are currently 3 floating screens when you're in a huddle - In my opinion, this is just a nightmare to navigate and share a screen with a colleague, especially on a laptop screen. Also they moved the huddle button to top right corner which is just less intuitive in my opinion.
- Channels and conversation threading - Overall a great idea, however I believe it lacks in execution. I've found it's really easy to miss out and hard to find these threads, search works.
- Sharing screen and sharing content in while in huddle is always cumbersome in my opinion - I less like to share content on the huddle itself as I believe it's difficult to find afterwards and everyone just misses it. I always share on main Slack chat, however it requires addition screen navigation as now there are 3 active Slack sessions which is so confusing and cumbersome in my opinion. I my experience, everyone I've talked with in the organization just didn't understand what's going on there and why it got so messy and over-complicated
- Overall great collaboration product, yet latest UX changes made it worse in my opinion
- In my experience you should always double check to close your huddle when the other side had left -I believe otherwise it will just stay active for hours without clear identification -
- Notifications are easy to be missed in my opinion.
I used to like Slack better than teams for a long time. Only after using Teams for few years and returning back to Slack on another organization, I can see the main differences and between them. None of them is perfect, MS Team is more deeply connected to your SP sites and in ternal configurations, which requires more technical preparation and setup. I really like the Slack shortcuts for quick navigation between recent chats, which is not that easy on teams and overall seems smoother and easier to understand and use. However, the MS sites, channels and rooms configurations are somehow more organized, structured and logical. Another plus for MS teams is their deep connection to your org content on SP/OD, etc, so you have all you files available which is super productive and efficient.
