Overall Satisfaction with Toast Point of Sale

I manage the backend database.
  • Easy to create on the back end
  • Easy to use on the POS terminal
  • Toast to-go menu
  • Item look up function would be helpful
  • Sub menu group functionality. (If you create subgroups, it's challenging to get those to show up on a Toast to-go menu)
  • Duplicate item block alerts would be helpful
  • User friendly
  • Data integrity
  • Customer use friendly
  • I wish there are a way to permanently delete items from the database instead of just archiving
  • I wish there was a way to remove old locations that are no longer in use for my company completely from view.
  • The system overall is easy to navigate and make changes to.
Toast has been a lot better than Aloha. The system itself is more up-to-date. Aloha was more dated. The only thing I liked more about Aloha is the Loyalty program. Aloha Loyalty worked better by keeping track of when one account had comped a product and not allowing anything else to be comped under that account until the next day or week. There currently isn't a way in Toast to track that amount of detail in a loyalty program. Its more of an "honor system"

Yes

We have tasting room retail locations as well as a kitchen at one location. Its very user friendly for FOH staff members. Toast Point of Sale end of day close out when errors are made could use some work.
