Overall Satisfaction with WebPT
WebPT is used to educate DPT students about electronic documentation. This product is used since there is an educator version. Since WebPT is used in many outpatient settings, the exposure helps them if they are in clinics using WebPT. The students do a practice evaluation and treatment note based on a paper case. They also evaluate a patient educator and document in WebPT. This platform is more challenging when we are trying to document an eval that is more cardiopulmonary focused.
Pros
- Having a lot of tests and adding to the list.
- Minimal down time where we can't use it in real time.
- Easy to read pdf of the notes.
Cons
- Designing more modules about how to use WebPT that are more in-depth, especially to help students and first-time users.
- More information on the errors that need to be corrected before the note can be finalized.
- Easier way to find tests to add to the note.
- Easier way to upload 70 new students rather than doing them one at a time.
- We are using this for educational purposes only so there is no ROI.
- It is very helpful for students to use WebPT as the educational version is the same as the clinical version. We get good feedback about our students' ability to document even if the clinical site is not using WebPT - the exposure helps them with all EMRs.
WebPT is meeting our needs. Additional tests and updates have been made that better reflect current outpatient practice in most areas.
Having this built-in helps the students identify possible problems with the errors it displays.
