I think 10000ft is good for bare minimum project monitoring, we used it a large company because we didn't need to have exact numbers - it was just a rough idea to see where freelance resources were over burning. If, however you work a much smaller company and really need to know detailed information it's not as effective, there are many other software options that really allow for much closer and precise tracking. I would recommend 10000ft for companies that just need to monitor large freelance teams, track hours and higher level projects that are also monitored on other project management tools. It's a tool I would only use in conjunction with something else.

Procore is attempting to be an attractive solution to GCs, Owners, and Specialty Contractors. It has tools that address many of the specific needs for each type of company. The financials are designed to incorporate a total contract value budget and those that cost budget may need to adjust their budgeting to utilize Procore's financial tools. This is most visible during the change order process. Field productivity and time tracking works pretty well for those that self-perform and need a time-tracking solution. This tool is not nearly as robust as some of the stand alone solutions, but again, it is part of Procore's single solution. The time reporting feature can be coerced into producing a printable weekly "timecard", but there is no way to get the individuals signature to accompany that timecard without dramatically increasing the physical print out size of the timecard. Individuals can electronically sign their timecards on their own smartphones. The submittal tool workflow is by far my favorite. The tool tracks a step by step flow of accountability that is very clear and easy to customize. RFIs are easy to use and an email reply will be automatically uploaded as an RFI response. The drawings tool needs work.

Cons
10000ft
- It's often confusing to use and find things, I sometimes find it to be a little counterintuitive as to where functions are (e.g. for tracking budgets and pulling reports).
- When pulling a budget I always struggled to comb through the large amounts of data and time inputted. When I select a filter the page often wouldn't refresh or i'd forget to de-select a filter as it wasn't in an obvious place, which sometimes left me with pulling an incorrect budget.
- The data is only as good as the people entering the time. Often with so many small tasks people would enter time incorrectly, in the wrong milestone or project. It lists all of your projects on one page, so it's not easy to enter it and there's a lot of room for error.

- Prime contract invoicing to Quickbooks does not allow for ERP link.
- Prime contract change orders do not link easily within ERP on Quickbooks.
- ERP communication is lagging as compared to the other areas of Customer support. Often that is the area that we need quicker support as so many things rely o that connection before you can proceed forward.

I think there's limited uses for the tool and much more comprehensive options out there for multiple tools in one. With more people working remotely, it's hard to just use email and face to face, in some ways you need to have a tool that's a fall back and a record of where you are + where you're going

We have currently renewed and believe that we will continue to do so due to the great tools that Procore offers and also their continuous work to improve all the tools and also enhance with new features. We have also had a great experience when it comes to customer service from the Procore Team, which also plays a part in renewal

I have non "techie" guys in the field who are using Procore on a regular basis and look to Procore for the updated information they need. Instead of phone calls they are able to get what they need right off most of the time.

If you are working in an area with little to no signal, Procore will still allow you to get in the system and use it fully and will then update once you are at a place with a strong enough signal. Whether it be with wifi or LTE cell phone reception.

They have been super responsive every time we need them. We built ourselves some integrations with other internal systems, and whenever we needed clarification or help to complete said integrations, they were super responsive. They have a very technical background which makes it super easy to work with when you present to them technical challenges regarding integrations or the use of their API.

Procore has instant customer support via chat. If you particular issue cannot be resolved via the chat feature, they automatically notify customer support and you are notified through out the process that they are working on your issue. If your issue is very involved they will reach out to you via email and /or by telephone to walk through the issue and what is being done to resolve it. I've never had an issue just go to a black hole with no follow up.

Training can be at times hard to follow and a little boring, but this is your best bet to get the software on track and deployed into the field. Procore's web materials and videos can be helpful but the MOST helpful is when you are using the software and have the live chat support function at your disposal.

The hardest part about the implementation of Procore was getting all of our subcontractors uploaded into Procore and getting the correct contacts in for bidding. All of this information was with different people throughout our company, so getting it all into Procore and making sure it was correct was quite a challenge and caused the most growing pains for us. It was one of the reasons we had to wait to implement bidding because we couldn’t take the risk of sending out RFPs to people that weren’t correct or weren’t going to use Procore.

Although an interesting tool, compared to Basecamp or Workfront, 10000ft really struggles on the collaboration aspect of the tool. It's great for the bare minimum, recording hours and pulling a budget, but we also relied on email for collaboration and face to face meetings - which is no bad thing! Although for big companies and small projects it's nice to have everything all in one tool so there's less jumping and room for error. That would be my recommendation for any company evaluating it

Prolog was not as advanced as Procore when we did our Demo of both products in 2015. The web interface was not as user friendly for Prolog as it was for Procore. It seemed like Prolog was playing catch up to Procore. Procore has continued to change in the 3 plus years we have been using them. They are constantly adding new features and improving existing features.
