CallRail

CallRail is the perfect solution for finding out keyword data. Since Google removed keyword data from analytics a few years ago we've been using callrail to fill that gap. We are able to track our phone calls, which are our primary conversion, back to the keyword level. This has helped us maximize our ROI by being able to drop any unprofitable keywords from our campaigns while placing a greater focus on high performing keywords.

  • The navigation, especially the left nav, has always been confusing, especially for new users. It has improved A LOT over the last few years, but there's still lots of room for improvement.
  • The charts are never good, it's really hard to get an out-of-the-box chart on Analytics that actually makes sense.
  • Account switching through marketing cloud is still a little buggy sometimes.

  • Ideally, it would be great if the volume of tracking numbers in a pool could be increased/decreased automatically dependent on busy/low visitor times to the site, just so you don't have to always be paying for the maximum numbers you would need when the site is busy.

I give the rating of a 4 just because it seems more like a process that is failing. Any time I have put a request in, they have taken days, sometimes weeks, to get back to me and even then, the issue may still persist. I believe this is the biggest weakness of the Adobe Analytics tool and has a lot of room for improvement.

It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

The online training for Adobe SiteCatalyst consists of short product videos. These are ok, but only go so far. For a while Adobe charged a fee for this, but recently made these available for free. There are many great blog posts that help users learn how to apply the product as well.

I have just recently started to evaluate GA and reserve judgement at this time to compare it against Adobe Analytics. That said, the usability and user experience of the GA platform is much more intuitive and user friendly. The ability to customize GA seems comparable to Adobe Analytics. I have not yet had gone through a support experience with GA.

  • The program helps calculate risk. We have saved tens of thousands of dollars by avoiding planned campaigns which would have flopped. Using Adobe Analytics we were able to accurately predict ROI and adjust campaigns which could have been unsuccessful.
  • User segmenting and targeting-With the programs segmenting and targeting tools we have increased email conversions and grown our email list and web subscribers by over 100,000, collectively.
  • Program interface can is easy to use-While the program is extremely deep, it is structured so that begenner, novice, or experienced users can use the functions that they need without feeling overwhelmed. As a manager my productivity has increased substantially because our employees are able to navigate the program according to their job duties with less review and hand holding.
