Agile seems suitable if you set up correctly from the get go. Once you have over 10000 contacts it's hard to clean up the list e.g tags. If you want to edit or delete them how can you?

Vtiger

Vtiger is well suited to any organization that manages large databases because it is very quick to populate, deduplicate and categorize the contact records. It is a very good way to manage your mailing campaigns because each record can be held in one place only and then belong to as many mailing lists as you like. You can even have website sign up forms adding people to your lists based on their interests.

  • Vtiger is a sophisticated database similar to SugarCRM but easy to use for people who are not computer experts. SugarCRM has a very complex user interface compared with Vtiger. It is easy to add fields and to create rules or pick lists and thereby tailor the system to your requirements.
  • Vtiger is a powerful email marketing system with more facilities than MailChimp and considerably less expensive per email sent once your database reaches the size at which MailChimp begins to charge. Vtiger, therefore, represents a good upgrade path from MailChimp.
  • It is very easy to import and export data to and from Vtiger, which has excellent deduplication tools built in. It is also easy to manipulate data within Vtiger, something that is almost impossible with MailChimp.

Cons

  • The newsletter part is a bit clunky compared to dedicated services like MailChimp or Aweber. It's just not very streamlined and logical.
  • There needs to be more flexibility in importing contacts. Currently, you can only import if you have an email and a name which obviously a lot of systems don't. It makes manipulating data by importing very difficult and the 'having to have a first name' is not even consistent with the system itself.
  • The iPhone/Android app is not quite doing it for me - very hard to navigate currently.

  • Although Vtiger integrates well with email, like most CRM systems it assumes that you have one email system and therefore it is less suitable for use cases where multiple email systems need to be supported.
  • Although Vtiger supports Twitter it does not support other social media systems in the same way. You can tailor the system to hold the URLs of your contacts' social media profiles but if SM is a big thing for your organization then there are better systems available.

There was a little bit of a learning curve and some bumps along the way to managing this platform, but AgileCRM appears to be responsive to any challenges that arise, which I consider to be of vital importance.

The training sessions are very helpful, because you have specialist that is available to answer any questions, guide you and coach you on how to dominate a certain feature of the platform. That being said,Whenever I have an issue that needs to be resolved, I can send email or call a support line. I usually use the support line.

It is as good as you could expect for a company that operates from another continent. Emails are quickly responded to and do not usually require additional questions or answers. It is quite rare for a company of their size to be as responsive as they are and that makes them a sound choice to deal with.

Each section of the AgileCRM platform has an instructional video that describes in detail all of the features of that section. I found this to be very instructional way to learn about each section. Whenever I had more questions, I could always schedule a conference call with a tutor..

Just being a user of Vtiger since I got hired at GB Advisors. Used those solutions on previous experiences, Microsoft Dynamics was deployed in my previous job for opportunity management, it was not so friendly as Vtiger, not sure if it was a bad deployment. Salesforce was used by ISR for quoting and budgeting to customers. Base CRM just used the smartphone app before the dynamic CRM and we offer Freshsales along with Vtiger in our company to other customers

This products Starts with a free Limited version. You can upgradeTo an affordable paid version with minimal features. There's also an enterprise version which is what I have. It's much more expensive, however it allows me to access the full range of features available.

  • Agile CRM has been valuable for customizing our sales process, allowing our sales associates to make more phone calls, send more relevant and marketing materials and talk to customers more frequently. This is essential to any investment company looking out for their customers and customer success.
  • Agile CRM allows us to market to our existing clients and track and managing clients, ex-clients and prospects.
  • The email campaigns are going better than they did with other "email" CRM programs.
